A wall won't stop you from speeding either. If there is a full sized hump, then most likely you will slow down. Problem is the hump is only on one lane, thus there are now two temptations: hit the hump at full speed or avoid the hump slalom style.

Yes, the kids were speeding, and hopefully nobody will say that your kids or nephews "paid the price" for speeding and "kawawa" pasehero nila, I find that insensitive as nobody is disputing that they were intoxicated and speeding, as if you never drove over the speed limit ever in your life.

It's true that it's easy to buy alcohol here, that's why I'm saying that we should have an ID system, it will make it harder for minors to buy alcohol, they would have to produce fake IDs or something, but it's still better than being able to buy simply because you look mature.

It's also possible that the passengers themselves were egging the driver to go faster. "Sige pa browww, bilis ng Elantra mo, make it hataw pa!"

I just find it sad though, that despite incidents like these, there will always be spoiled rich kids who will be given cars even when they lack the discipline and maturity to use them. Unlike other gadgets, cars are actually very potent lethal weapons that can easily harm not only those in it, but those around it too.

STUPIDITY is not exclusive to rich spoiled kids.

Even ordinary kids wreck cars too.

No pictures, According to my relative who lives in AAV; the authorities handling the incident would not release images of the accident scene, under strict orders of the victim's families.

But just to share some gruesome details, the car was indeed found spilt in half, and an arm was found laying on the street.

Eerily it's just like this video.

My wife was talking with my younger cousin but I wasn't paying attention. Kala ko kasi girl talk, but my wife told me that they were talking about this crash in Alabang.

My cousin goes to the same school pala as some of the victims, and according to her, they were "stoned". Less us not pass judgement though, this info is coming from a teen schoolmate. Just wanted to share. Di ko din sure what teens mean by "stoned" nowadays. (tanda ko na, sh*t!)

I should have paid attention and asked questions, tsk tsk.

whoa! that was a mean crash! oem na ba iyong mga dash cam sa mga newer cars sa south korea? very helpful din pag dating sa mga road accident investigations

dami din mga skateboarders aka trashers sa village namin kasi maganda ang pagka-pave at relatively malawak ang roads kaya even outsiders dumadayo dito. pero in the last few months sinita na din sila kasi maski in the wee hours of the morning maingay pa din iyong tropa nila (presumably boozed up din) kaya siguro lie low na iyong mga iyon ngayon kasi hindi ko nakikita iyong mga magagarang kotse nila sa village park pag dating ng late afternoon

Well, we'll never really know what transpired before that incident. I've heard several stories such as they came from a bar in Makati before that, there was supposed to be a fifth guy but he was already dropped off right before the accident, etc... Maybe the families would know the real deal after going through their personal messages and stuff but for the general public its just for all to learn from it (especially parents with kids). Every year nalang halos there are incidents like that, the last one i recall was that Audi in C5. Earlier this year there was also that guy in the SiR in Davao.

Last weekend may Porsche naman na naka-park sa may house ng isang relative ko inside a subdivision, binangga ng Crosswind na speeding and overtaking (yes inside a village again). Buti yung Porsche yung natamaan at hindi yung Innova ng Tita ko. :D

Alchohol DUI yung Audi. Bumper was wrapped around the post and engine flew off meters away.

His last entry in FB was "Gotta Drink, gotta drink".

poor sonata. kaya dapat malayo pa lang anticipated mo na yung dadaanan mo. drivers should also look at all sides of the road kahit malayo pa. pati yung kabilang road. a good driving habit na dapat matutunan ng lahat. hindi lang yung puro porma.
