How would you tackle this PNP+tricycle issue?
    PNP forums: http://pcr.freeforums.org/viewtopic.php?t=30

Almost 3 years na problema to ... the first year nilagyan na ng municipal ordinance against the tricycle drivers na naka park sa tapat ng bahay namin. After a few weeks nagtangka sirain ng mga drivers ang mga signs, but we managed to save a few and put it sa bakod namin.

After that walang tigil ang pagpapark at patuloy ang pagbuo ng illegal na terminal sa amin. They block the pedestrian lane, urinate besides the house, mura ng mura at sigaw ng sigaw, capable pa sila mag bigay ng threats gaya ng binigay nila sa Dad ko and all the PNP did was to give my Dad (a 77 year old senior citizen) a gun license, the culprit was never jailed and still parks in front of our house and the roads beside it.

A few things to note is that: may suporta sila ng PNP
    • all our complaints nalalaman ng mga tricycle drivers

    Now our problem:
    • PNP knows we are the ones reporting. This is risky enough.
    • The tricycle drivers nga ay may PNP support, ang enforcers na dapat magpatalsik sa kanila ay either 'binabayaran' or they simply allowed them illegally (illegal nga ba? pagbigay ng awa sa mga drivers para ilabag ang mun. ordinance?)

We have talked to our neighbors about this and they told me this seems to be a political issue. Saan daw imo-move ang terminal na to, wala daw sila mapuntahan ... but I say that is their problem.

What is your take on this? What is the best solution?

Meron ganitong insident din sa amin. Mga matatapang na tricycle drayber.

Ang nangyari nag gear up barkada ko and nilusob nya pilahan ng tricle with only one companion. Mabuti walang lumaban kundi malamang me namatay. ex scout ranger sya

matapos yon matagal tahimik yon pilahan

Haay.

Tricycles = Social Decay = Increase in crime rate = Lower Real Estate value.

No matter how you look at it, lugi ka talaga.

And to think that they, who I doubt pay any taxes, are being coddled by the Police, whose very salary comes from the taxes YOU pay. Only in the Philippines.

If you were here at antipolo, super dami ng tricycle dito, ikaw na nga ang iiwas kasi pag nagasgasan car mo, wla naman sila pambayad

Sasagutin mo yan.

    Good

3.) Btw, pag sinabing official statement did they document it? If not, humingi kayo ng document then ilapit ninyo ulit sa munisipyo for escalation at mapatalsik ang dapat ipatalsik. Expect a war so be prepared.

Besides that, file a formal complaint to city hall and if that didn't work go higher - to LTFRB.. if neither of them wanna act go TV stations, not radio cos radio have lease exposure, unless its from Tulfo or Gany Oro

This is a good example how being vigilante and support each other in our communities pays off. Tulongan sa tamang oras. Lets fight for our right.

I'm so pissed at people who let out-laws / violators go

Nakikiramay ako sa situation mo. I had the same problem a year ago, biglang ginawang terminal yung harapan namin. As a result naging automatic CR, gambling den, gotohan, beerhouse and believe it or not may mini videokoe pa. I went to the toughguy route and attempted to fight fire w/ fire. To this day I regretted having ever done that, I nearly shot one guy who was revving his engine incessantly at 10 PM. Had it not been for cooler heads who were my guardian angel I would be in jail now!!

Unfortunately, walang magagawa ang LTO or LTFRB sa issue. We should congratulate the distinguished Sen. Pimental for that kasi the Local Government Code w/c he authored devolved the regulatory functions for Trikes to the Local Government! The LGU's see this opportunity to make money and get votes kaya walang tigil ang pag-issue ng franchise.

I documented the violations complete w/ pictures of the heaps of garbage that they left, got the signatures of our neighbors and sent it to the LGU (Bgy and City Hall). As expected the Barangay did not want to act, they gave me the convoluted reason that we were better off that poor folks had a job otherwise they would be committing criminal acts. Mas mabuti pa yung City Hall w/c did an investigation. The terminal was moved away and our frontage was freed. Yun nga lang the terminal is now at an alley the back of our house! (well you can't have everything)
Meron magagwa LTFRB , by confiscating and suspending their franchise and getting them out of the roads.. Well that's if youy went to the non corrupt officer in that dept.

But what you did on the last paragraph is right..The law may and can protect us , its just a matter of research and evidence taking. Kaya nga madaming yumayaman na lawyers all over the world, cos of these laws and people who hire them to fight for them.

I suggest that you make a petition letter signed by all of the people in your community and such or at least you din, stating such and such and deliver it straight to the Mayor's office. Not to brgy capt.; not to the vice mayor; but to the mayor. At least sa secretary niya.

I notice too that majority of the government websites are just like billboards, full of nothing. Nakaka asar, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
