Hit & RUN Montero NQK-890

Hi tsikoteers,

I would like your help regarding my case. Just this morning, I was informed by the guard on duty that he witnessed my car was bumped by this 2010 Mitsubishi Montero NQK-890 at 4:30AM. One of the employees of the bar near my place saw this as well. They tried to stop the drunk lady driver but she just kept on going. What should I do? I have compre insurance for my car but I would like some justice. Any advice where I should start? Damage is disaligned, scraped and cracked bumper, disaligned/scraped fender and "umangat" na hood. My car is 2008 mazda3.

Wow, bago pa yung monty ah.

You have two witnesses sir malakas yung case mo nyan, file a report at habulin mo yung may-ari nun. Hope you remembered to take pics and gather evidence as much as you can. Kahit may compre insurance ka pa, don't claim for "own damage".

^OK sir thanks. San po first step ko? Diretso na sa pulis? Plan ko later this afternoon magleave ako from work para punta ako sa makati precinct (sa jupiter kasi yung incident).

Edit: I tried registering at monterosportclubphil but kelangan pa pala ng moderator's approval before I can post hehe. Nagbabakasakali may nakakakilala dun sa owner ng car.

Yes sir, dapat may police blotter ka since eto yung hinahanap ng insurance pag mag claim ka na. Buti na lang yung sa akin, yung insurance ko mismo ang pinahabol ko sa bumangga kaya walang sakit ng ulo. Why not post on the monty forum dito? baka may maka kilala ng owner dun.

do it fast para ma-trace mo agad yung montero at maabutan mo pa evidence ng bump sa monty nya.

Your insurance company can be the one to go after the Montero. Just get a police report.

matagal pa pag police report. attorney's affidavit na lang tapos declare mo lang na hit & run. tapos nun insurance na hahabol dyan sa montero. masakit nga lang sa bulsa yung participation...

Thanks for the advice guys. I've decided na punta na lang ako sa police station tonight. Can't leave work early kasi and I promised my uncle na susunduin ko sila sa airport. 24hours naman yung makati central police station along ayala ave extension right?

Regarding naman dun sa affidavit, yan rin yung advice sakin ng dad ko. Problem is i don't know any attorney. I don't even know where to start

You can inquire with your insurance company if they have a fill-in-the-blanks affidavit form. Then you can have them notarize it for you.

You can always go or call your insurance company. For sure may mga kilala sila na attys. o malay mo may mga forumers dito na atty who can help you. If possible sir do it soon, at baka yung owner nun umalis etc. ikaw din ma dehado nyan.
