Mukang kalokohan lang yung pinalabas nilang nahuli na yung mga suspect sa carjacking dyan sa QC.... saka tingnan nyo.... 1PM pa lng... katanghaliang tapat... tumitira .. tapos sa tabi pa mismo ng ABS-CBN..... Pulis QC ... GISING!!!! ......

a few weeks (or months ba?) back, a gen 3 pajero was carjacked and when the victims went to the police to file a report and make an identification of the carjackers, one of the policemen there commented:

"mahirap mahuli yan kasi mga tao yan ni general xxxxx"

grabe! kaya pala tuloy tuloy itong carjacking na ito

immobilizers are already enough to stop an "unoccupied" car from being stolen. pero kung meron nakasakay, kahit anong security device e walang kwenta kapag tinutukan ka na ng baril.

i used to have an alarm on my old 95 honda civic. if i remember right, it was clifford and whenever any door was opened, the alarm would arm itself unless you input a code. if you do not input a code, the car would stop after about 5 minutes and then the alarm would sound. it was a hassle kasi it happened to me once and i was in the middle of the street

but in retrospect, mukhang okay pala na deterrent ito. give up the car, step out and just wait for your car to stop and sound the alarm.

of course, this is assuming hindi ka i hostage muna

No pre, pwede rin ung immobilizer kahit nakasakay na ung mga carjackers. Just let them drive it w/o you then immobilize them by txting the device in ur car. Yung kay Iya, pinababa na yung driver nya then pinatakbo na ung Patrol. That's the best time to immobilize them esp kung natapat malapit sa police outpost.
