ngayon naman mga 4 wheels pataas ang pinagiinitan. so bawal na magpalit ng HU, mags, at gulong na mas makapit? baka pati seatcover sitahin. :bwahaha:

magtagal pa kaya sa pwesto tong tao na to, sa dami ng kinakalaban? ilang congressman, si BF, motorcycle guys, ngayon naman cagers. :twak:

LTO Chief Alberto Suansing is planning to implement stricter guidelines for 4 wheel vehicle owners/drivers as well as their passengers.

The amended guidelines are as follows:

1. Carrying of Restriction Code 2 (RC 2) on the drivers license.
2. Confiscate and fined HID headlights 4300k color and up
3. All passengers of private cars needs to have seatbelt, including the back passengers.


Additional proposed items from the LTO Guidelines:

*Drivers and All Passengers who fail to use seatbelt will be fined P1,500/passenger plus attending seminar for traffic and vehicle safety to be conducted by LTO.

* For carrying more passenger other than the normal seating capacity, a penalty of P1,000/per passenger.

* For defective accessories such as headlight, tail light, signal light, brake light, side mirror and horn a fine of P1,000 for the violators.

* For modifying any part of the original design of a private vehicle without approval of LTO and the DTI a fine of P2,000.

* Wearing of slippers fine of P500 for the first offense, P700 for the 2nd offense and P1,000 for the 3rd offense and revocation of driver’s license.

* Installation of HID headlight 4300K and up color temperature a fine of P5000.

* Installation Open free flow exhaust pipe other than the original exhaust pipe a fine of P3000.

yun nga ang problema. dapat bumalik muna sa definition of terms. ano ba yung modification, at ano pa yung upgrade? and ano ba yung OEM replacement parts. problema e hindi naman open ang LTO para sa dialogue. binale wala nila effort ng mga heads/representatives ng motorcycle community sa workshop na sila mismo nagpatawag last september 10.

I think there is a similar forum like this under traffic laws and infrastruture. My take is that the modification part is too broad, it could be a source of misunderstanding between the motorist and the apprehending officer. If this AO becomes a law then all jeepneys and FX Mega taxis would the hardest to be hit by this coz almost all jeepneys plying our roads are modified (engine pa lang mga supluses) and the mega taxis are AUV's if you install the signage of mega taxi above then this constitutes modification also. Just my observation.

Dapat may batas talaga dito sa Pilipinas at dapat mahigpit na ipatutupad... sa totoo lang kung strict ang implementation nito ganda sa ng Pilipinas kaso puro tayo reklamo bakit kaya hindi muna tayo sumunod bago mag reklamo..

Like for example yung pag gamit ng HID, OK naman gumamit nyan basta nasa tama like recommended color temperature and upgrading the HeadLamp Assembly to a Projector Type.. kaso dami sa atin nagpalit ng HID para MASILAW yung kasalubong tapos pag malakas ang ulan TODO na yung HID nila wala parin sila makita kasi mali yung pag gamit nila...

Pero bago yung mga batas trapiko sana naman eh Linawin muna nila at ipaalam sa publiko bago ipatupad at sana yung mga batas eh UNIFORM sa lahat ng lugar.. paiba-iba kasi sa makati, manila, nakakalito..

Maganda ang intention nila pero yung pagpapatupad ang mali... dapat unahin nila yung mga BULOK na PUJ and PUB sa kalsada...yung ang delikado..

I guess this means na cars with stock HID are fine. Sana ammend nila ito kasi ang dapat hulihin yung mga naka HID na sabog.

I agree with this. Other countries like New Zealand wont renew your car registration unless your car passes the test. Para mas safe ang motorists.

ang problema is yung gray areas ng AO. hindi malinaw e. pwede nga pagsimulan ng kotong kung hindi lilinawin. madaling sumunod kung hindi kalokohan ang batas. ano problema sa mags halimbawa? safety ba? sa HU pag nagpalit ka, ano epekto ba sa safety? nakaka istorbo ba sa kapwa mo motorista?

some people may find it too strict if LTO and dTI regulate the changing of mags or tires. pero kung i-analyze mo, they have a point. tires are very crucial at times of accidents. maganda nga wheels mo pero delikado naman at puwede makasakit sa sarili mo at ng ibang tao.

so i guess dito dapat simulan yun pag-elaborate na what should be modified or not, if you modify your car for anything, everything related to speed purposes, then be a citizen and follow the rules and regulations of a governing body. bec. SPEED KILLS!

yun maglagay ng spoiler sa likod should also be regulated. kasi hindi naman siguro obvious that the driver owner plans to race his/her car sooner or later.

regarding jeepneys/tricycles/dilapidated trucks, the law doesnt work that way. hindi porkit hindi sila sumusunod, hindi ka na susunod. my dad once told me this when I got in hot water with the law sometime ago. ang sabi ko eh bakit sila ganito ganyan, ang sagot nya sa'kin is be smart. dont be stupid. pag nahuli ka, huli ka. ikaw lang sasagot sa sarili mo, bec. ikaw lang nahuli eh, sila hindi. come to think of it, totoo nga. will those jeepneys/puv's come to your rescue or reason with you against the governing agency?
