DRLs go on automatically when the hand brake of a car is released.
I think the new CR-V is like that...

Hindi naman porket DRL, LED strip agad ala-Audi. Meron iba ang high beam (headlights 'to) ang DRL pero kalahati ang lumens emitted.
For example sa CRV, naka-bukas ang HI BEAM parati. Pero yung liwanag niya, different from pag naka-switch on talaga ang HI BEAM through the stalk.
Wala naman masama if people turn on their headlights and/or foglights. I think it's actually safer. I myself turn on my foglights especially when I travel on two lane provincial highways, regardless of what time of the day is it.
And no, doesn't mean your HLs are turned on, VIP ka na.

Supposedly, according to studies in the US, vehicles with their lights on have been in lesser accidents. Kaya nauso ang DRL. Most modern cars in the US now have DRLs.
On long drives, I usually turn on my headlights so that I'm seen by oncoming traffic.Last edited by IMm29; March 13th, 2013 at 06:44 PM.
