Not because he owns EK.

But you're right at least for me, old car still an old car mo matter how you diced it. Kahit super maintained pa.

Nah, I don’t get riled up by forum posts.

BTT. If one was to scoff at another man’s ride, he should atleast have something better, way more expensive, exotic car level. Otherwise it make no sense if it just another econobox albeit newer.

it's about people judging other people based on the car

this isn't about pinagtatawanan ang kotse ng ibang tao

    for example mga sekyu

    pag naka SUV sinasaluduhan nila

pag naka vios tingin nila grab

Hehehe

Curious lang yung guard… baka car enthusiast… he wanted to know if stock pa ba yung inside, and we he saw na may sterio installed, he checked na rin yung likod to see if may subs and leds…

Happened to me once, cx5 awd, guard open the rear door and checked my front interior, the he asked me whats year model and how much… [emoji4]

Its really pointless because almost useless yan to deter what they're supposed to deter.
Alam mo naman ang way of life dito sa atin eh-- to give an impression that they're doing something about a problem, even when they're actually not (pakitang tao lang).

Ang nakikinabang lang diyan... yung security agency kasi may reason to hire more guards to do useless things...

    at a popular mall parking,
    they sort-of inspect entering cars,
but they do not bother to bother the pedestrians and their hand-carrys, walking into the same parking facility...

    Remember Isetan Recto?

Back in HS, we'd laugh at this mall, because the guards would pat you down (kapkapan) before you could enter -due to frequent gang violence, and it was a hangout of prostitutes & gay men. It had a very sketchy reputation even back in it its heyday.

Through the years however, and with a FEW notorious incidents (Martilyo Gang, etc.), parang naging standard practice na ito dito sa `Pinas, even though its so obvious na wala naman itong silbi talaga

I remember my college days. Sa LRT Monumento station, may hawak na drumstick ang mga guard at itutusok lang nila sa loob ng bag mo at good to go ka na.

It depends on the type of sekyu

Village gate guards are notoriously more strict than mall guards. Office building guards are also strict

In my experience it doesn't matter to most guards whether I show up in a new model BMW or a 10 year old Kia. Appearance also matters.

This thread is amusing. I agree though, na maraming taong ampaw.

I can say from experience though, most of the REALLY well off people I know, don’t put on airs. They usually keep a low profile din...

One case in point nakwento ko na dito sa forum in another thread, branded lahat, pilit ginapang ipasok mga anak in expensive schools, not for better quaiity educ. (but para maka "connect" with kids of moneyed people) can't be seen in anything less than an Accord, but is up to their eyeballs in debt.

Ideal customer nga sila ng banks & financial institutions though. The type who somehow manages to pay the barest minimum to avoid from defaulting, but keeps accruing interest & finance charges for the longest terms as possible. It's their life and none of my business, but the problem is, they're annoying, arrogant and as tacky as hell... and press release nila sa mundo is they're living the good (?) life.

Sa akin? What's the point of having an LV wallet kung wala namang laman...

    magkano ba toyota 86 ngayon...?
    yung heavily tinted, ha!
puede na rin siguro ang lancer GSR...
so her assumption is all 2 door cars are expensive hahaha

Cars don't impress me especially now with so much new money (though I have to admit that I am curious to see drivers of STis hehehe). I'd rather date an Atenean working an 8 to 5 job driving an Altis/Civic than a tacky youtuber (parang yung lalaki sa Jamill) earning millions a month driving a Ferrari

I don't park next to dilapidated and or dirty vehicles

LOL grabe naman. Siguro dahil babae ako kaya SGs are nicer. I have to give it to Filipinos, mabait sa mga babae. Even drivers, basta nakita babae, automatic magbibigay

I know, but still I'm curious to see who is behind the wheel when I see an STi. I wanted one before kasi

funny joke between is friends (and colleagues)

tao behind a nice car? mas malaki yung waist line compared sa chest.

funny na when we were younger, wife didn't allow us to buy this and that.

ngayon na its getting harder and harder to be in shape, then more than half of our hair is grey.

may Vespa na ako sa garage and some of my friends no longer have a rear seat

What it really takes for guards to respect you.

But joking aside, clients have told us that 8 plates are liabilities and they seldom use it.
