MANILA, Philippines -- THREE days after two armed men seized the luxury vehicle of fashion designer Rajo Laurel, Makati City police have yet to come up with suspects.

Makati police chief Gilbert Cruz said he notified Southern Police District headquarters about the theft of Laurel's Toyota Prado on Wednesday night.

"We are still trying to verify the reported incident. We also have no leads on the identity of the suspects so far," Cruz told the Inquirer in an interview.

Laurel, a top fashion designer, said his driver reported the incident to the police just a few minutes after two armed men forcibly took the black SUV with Plate No. ZBD-821 at around midnight on Wednesday.

The designer said he was having a few drinks with some friends at Glorietta while his driver, Ruben Rabino, parked the car along Leviste Street in Legaspi Village.

Just before midnight, Laurel called up his driver to ask him to pick him up.

"But my driver wasn't answering his phone when I called him," the designer told the Inquirer over the phone.

The politicians are to be blamed. Why are they not doing anything? Diba kitang kita naman sa records na pag panahon ng election lalo na pag panahon ng kampanya ay maraming ganyan like kidnap for ransom and carjacking? Are they blind or just making us stupid.

Leave your car in a secure parking lot. End of story. Magkano lang ba ang parking? P100 for 4-5 hours? At least alam mong safe.
