roads are for vehicles, sidewalks are for people, saan lalagay ang bike?

sabagay dito sa pilipinas it means there are no sidewalks for pedestrians (these are for vendors) - the roads are for everybody: kuliglig, kariton, trikes/sidecar, so lalong walang problema ang bike.

sana lang nasa lugar naman, at may safety awarenes & control din, else madidisgrasya lang yan.

i beg to disagree, roads are not for everybody, if that would be your perspective you will only create chaos. That's why there were pedestrian lanes because the pedestrians advocated or rather asked for it. The motorcycle riders advocated for a dedicated lane and so they have one, simple as that. You can not just do whatever you want on the roads. and that's why the biking community is asking for a dedicated safe lanes for bicycle so that they can ride safely, but as for now its a "ride at your own risk" in the metro for bikers.

and oh, there are certain roads where tricyles are not allowed, and kuliglig (i believe) are already banned in manila...

Yes, ride at your own risk. Thus, the logic of owning/taking a lane AND "not giving it back" to keep the BIKER safe.

    Re: ordinances

Kayang i-challenge yan if may susubok lang.

Kalesa pa ang basehan ng mga ordinansang yan.

yes bro we all know that, that's how it's supposed to be - i started driving in the metro in 1996, and i am old.
but what i see daily shows otherwise.

and like i said ' safety awareness & control ' sana muna.

Now, what do you do as a biker? when someone honks at you indicating they wanted to pass, give the lane to the vehicle and go to the side and continue pedaling if you can and if you cannot, you stop until its safe to continue biking. I know the bicycling community here in the metro at least has grown immensely and these group are advocating for a separate lane for bicycles, but until such time that we'll have a bicycle lane we (bikers, that includes me because i'm also a biker) all are just borrowing a space from motorized vehicles, i may be wrong on this one but i stand by it...
Yes, you are... wrong one this one.

Roads are not for motorized conveyances but meant FOR conveyances. Big difference bro.

One is a specific type of conveyance. The other is general.

I drive along roxas blvd on Sunday mornings and I always come across cyclists (mga adult na and there was one time na mga seniors pa) crossing intersections even when the light is red.

Mga utak pedestrian pa rin na tatawid kung saan at kelan gusto. Pag nadisgrasya ng kotse magka-clamor na naman for more bike lanes.

Lots of those lalo na sa edsa kapag rush hour. Pwede nga akong gumawa ng video compilation niyan sa dami. At least 20 assholes in a day.

Pwede ba isend yan sa lto/mmda for reckless driving? Ipost mo man sa social media hindi titigal yang mga yan hanggang hindi sila napepenalize or nakakansela lisensya.
