The employee/camera man said "nagbabayad kami dito ng libo libo" I'm not familiar with grocery policy, does that mean employees ang nagbabayad ng lost items? Bawas sa sweldo? Or guard din yung camera man at mga guards nagbabayad?

In any case parang hirap naman nun, di naman kalakihan mga sweldo ng mga yan.

Some do but majority no, kawawa kasi tindera or cashier, lagi sila maghahanap kapalit ng mga niyan.

i think some store owners have a clause in the contract with the security provider, on who will cover theft costs.

That's why in some stores, bantay sarado yung mga staff. SOBRA makabuntot sa iyo when you're browsing their merchandise. It gets really annoying at times...

Sadly, according to our better off relatives who own shops & kiosks in malls, pilferage (pagkupit) by employees is also quite common, not only of stocks, but of cash from sales. (Hindi na pinapunch in yung sale) Kaya pansin nyo in some stores may notice- I"f you don't get a receipt, report it and get a gift/your item is free" to help curb this

And yes, charged to yung staff in charge at the time yung losses...

For the honest employees, yes. Naghahanap buhay ng maayos & disente, naperperwisyo mg mga ungas na kasamang kumukupit. In addition to yung mga shoplifter pa.

Some become so resigned to it they start stealing na rin. Mentality nila is: Tutal ma-dededuct rin salary ko eh, dadale na rin ako para makabawi

May pagkademonyo talaga. They twist and corrupt even the good...

Someone said that you go to jail when you steal small amounts but you won't be in jail if you steal millions of Pesos and even a billion​!
