UST PT Student Shot and Killed last night...

Not really car related. I just wanted to share. A second year UST PT student was shot and killed last night along P.Noval/Espana during an apparent hold-up. We were at the emergency room at the time he arrived on board a police vehicle. He was still holding onto his bag. Even non-surgical/trauma team (IM, pedia, neuro, etc.) personell were called-in to assist during the mayday.

It got to the point that the victim's chest had to be opened up so his heart could be hand massaged in an effort to save him.

But he was mortally wounded. We couldn't save him.

Naawa lang ako sobra. Especially, when his family arrived to identify the victim. Wala lang. Ingat tayo parati. Dami pa ding halang ang bituka sa lipunan.

Nasa side pa ata siya ng UST. Hindi pa nakakatawid. Not sure lang po. Medyo magulo na kasi that time. Though the eyewitness claims na nakatakbo pa yung victim before he fell.

Sad to read this kind of story....

Another poor soul wasted on a senseless environment, which reminds me mas maigi pa nga sana na ibalik mga checkpoints, at least increased yung police visibility kahit papano naiwasan sana mga ganito.

Hope justice will be properly served.

May he Rest in Peace. Dyan din na hold-up kabarkada ko sa P.Noval cor. Dapitan. Pwd po malaman kung saan banda sa P.Noval na hold up? Malapit poba sa CFAD Bldg? May nahuli na po kasi kami ng mga barkada ko na 2 holdapers dyan nung nag inuman kami, baka sila na naman ito.

Kahit noong araw pa, nung estudyante pa lang ako dyan sa UST eh pugad na ng holdaper yung Dapitan, P. Noval at Forbes (now Lacson) areas. I can relate - naholdap na kami dyan ng tatlo ng schoomatesko nung 2nd year college kami. Umuwi kaming tatlo sa Bulacan wearing only our socks, pants and shirts - plus pamasahe na iniwan pa nila. Yep, you read it right: iniwanan nila kami ng pamasahe pauwi.

alam ko may Police post sa may P. Noval corner ng Reten st., ano ang mga kapulisan diyan, Patabain?!? di ba nila alam na pera ng mamayan ang pinangbubuhay nila sa kanilang pamilya?! nakakaawa.

let's just pray for the family of the departed... IMO, there's no use in pointing fingers on who's to blame for this senseless death.

kaya ingat na lang peeps... kapag na holdup / carnap eh bigay na lang ang gusto nila... pera lang naman ang mawawala sa atin.
