Seriously attorney, you are just starting to be a troll. Paulit ulit na lang. And trying to complicate a simple thing. May video na, may pahayag na yung taong sangkot.

I rarely take sides and usually love to watch in the sidelines but if I may, I'd like to share a few observations…

A dash cam is a powerful tool against crime or misdemeanor.
A luxury car has both good and bad effect on one's ego whether you own it or just driving it for someone.
Filipinos nowadays are really bad drivers. A lot would love to hog lanes but none would be willing to share or give.
We are no longer a generation of patient, kind and unselfish people. We use any form or means to get what we want by being dishonest, rude, demanding and impatient. The driver wants his ego to fly hence this incident, the FB pics of Posh cars and false pretense of ownership.
We are also a generation of angry, exhausted and demanding people. We frustrate easily and demand swift justice. The internet court is a playground for all sorts of emotions but a hell for rational thinking. We need conclusive facts, reasonable arguments and an acceptable unified judgement to close a discussion. Let us judge the merits of the discussions brought forward, not those presenting and defending them.
An internet forum is an open playground for all sorts of character. Be prepared to play with any and everyone.
Try to go back to the days when people were so polite and giving that these issues now were never a problem then. I guess we have changed a lot but not for the better.

Like I said, these are only my observations. I hope these have not deformed the discussions or conclusions in this thread. Thank you all and keep safe.

thank you sir for coming out. I understand you're not taking sides here, but I read your posts and my gut feeling told me you are a very reasonable person, intelligent, and well-experienced in your field. but the way I look at it, netizens have this tremendous power at their disposal. they shape public opinion. whereas before the powers that be (according to myth, it was President Magsaysay who first asked this question to his advisers) would ask the question when they had a new policy to implement "madedepensahan ba natin yan sa plaza miranda?". I think now the dynamics has changed. the question would be, "madedepensahan ba natin yan sa social media." as I said, we have this tremendous power to shape public opinion, we are really empowered, so we can be catalyst to change government policy. if we start to use this power with sobriety, shying away calumny, using only the force of our intellect to sway people to our side, we can be more persuasive. that way too we don't propagate or send the message of hate to all and sundry.

Not taking the side of attorney.

Ito medyo off topic.

Bro, thanks. I'm already retired. ito wala na magawa sa buhay pa - postpost na lang dito. pero civil law (law on succession) and special proceedings yata yang kaso mo. criminal law yung expertise ko. yung nag post ako noon re: your case, what I had in mind was you email the factual antecedents of your case to me at marami naman tayong kaibigang abogado na mga former students na puede natin hingan ng legal opinion in writing pro bono para papaano we can help naman.

Magkaiba ang opinion nating lahat. Internet forum ang tsikot so just agree to disagree on this na lang para matapos ang usapan. Tsuper man or may ari siya.

Yup. Ganyan din nangyari sa amin. Pero army naman. Kinulong ng pulis isang sundalo. Di ko matandaan kung anong crime. Ginawa ng mg kasamahaan nya, pinalibutan full battle gear yung presinto. Walang magawa mga pulis.

attorney, it is not about due process. it is because you keep saying respect opinions and freedom to believe but you also keep shutting people down when their opinion is counter to yours. you are not in the classroom and people here are not your students. you may have been god almighty to your students but that does not mean sh!t here. so stop playing god. nasanay ka na "yes sir your horror" ang laging sagot sa iyo kasi, di yun mangyayari dito.

To simplify, naalala ko nung kumuha ako ng exam prior getting my D.L. you just can't and it is illegal to cross a solid line.

clearly the jaguar driver crossed it.

anong due process pa ba? palakihin pa ba ito out of proportion?

if that's the case? i rest my case your honor.
