Grabe, sangkaterba na ang nga cemented bus lanes sa edsa brought to us by the metro gwapo himself.

Well, what else can we do, eh may metalworks biz siya.

It's stupid. There have been accidents already, since the islands are unpainted and sprout suddenly from the ground, without painted warning markers or lines or even a sign for construction.

And worst of all, it's two islands... which makes it impossible for buses to escape from behind buses that have stalled in lane... what are they encouraging here? Two lines? People boarding on the second lane of an already congested EDSA?

Put one island... force all buses to pass on the two rightmost lanes (as they did previously)... Problem solved. By forcing buses into separate lanes for boarding in certain areas, they increased the wait time for passengers on idle buses by at least half-an-hour (last time I rode) and up to an hour at Makati... which was incredibly stupid. You should force all the buses to board on the rightmost lane only, no excessive waiting (waste of diesel), and leave an exit for buses that are full.

I wonder why they won't admit they know absolutely jacksh*t about traffic management? Crowing about how good the removal of the U-turns in Eastwood worked... heck, I already knew years ago that the U-turn lanes they put in wouldn't work.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I have been driving at night and encountered those Cemented Bus Lanes. Its just one big accident waiting to happen. You don't have to be driving fast nor driving under the influence. Simply the chaos (khaos?) of the trucks, vans traveling cars at night will be enough to let you make a mistake and hit one of those concrete, metal or plastic road hazzard called MMDA barriers.

Meron nang naaksidente dyan, more precisely, marami na from the looks of it. On the northbound lane, gasgas na yung innermost concrete barrier. Also, I personally witnessed a Vios scraping his tires and probably his lower fenders too on the divider itself. It's already been stated that they're stupid, but hopefully, another one would make it more obvious. IT'S STUPID!

i really admire on what you want to happen to our metro chairman BF clean sidewalks, pedestrians crossing on the right overpass and less traffic but sometimes you and your adviser's ideas are really way too overboard.

There've already been quite a few accidents due to the cemented bus lanes. Ewan ko ba. Mr. Metro Gwapo really thinks just coz some of his bright ideas worked in the past, all of his ideas will work for all situations. Why doesn't he get into a private unmarked car sans all his security escorts during rush hour to get the picture?
