This can happen on any airline, anywhere in the world.

You will be hard pressed to find ANY carrier, even the best rated ones like SQ (Singapore Airlines) without a complaint posted about them. Some of them are legitimate (airline error/screw up), some are beyond the carrier’s control (weather, airport traffic, forced diversions, aircraft/equipment breakdown* etc.), but a vast majority are petty, unreasonable complaints from entitled travelers who think the world revolves around them and their needs.

-->*aircraft maintenance is held to really very strict standards by civil aviation authorities all over the world, pero even then, its not foolproof. The best maintained or even brand new equipment can suffer a break down, kahit hindi pabaya yung airline sa maintenance nila.

Mas marami of the latter type of complaints though, are on LCC’s (Low Cost Carriers) which operate on a no frills, point A to point B contract of carriage (basic transpo) system, where you’re charged basically for THAT LANG on the ticket. So if you want meals, bring extra luggage, or choose where to sit, you have to have to pay extra for that because the cost incurred by the airline for that service wasn’t included in the price of your BASIC ticket.

LCC’s are typically a commuter bus with wings.

Hindi ako maarte, so for short hauls (4 to 3 hrs or less) I fly them a lot (Cebu Pac, Air Asia, Jetstar on ASEAN routes) (Spirit, Jetblue, Southwest sa US) (Ryanair in Europe). I save a lot of money that way. I use the long hauls with the full service carriers because of the “secure” connection of a single ticket if may stopovers (rather than separate ticketing) and the risks involved.

Yung drawback nga lang is marami ka makaka-engwentro diyan yung tipong nakabiyahe lang minsan dahil sa mura na fare… naka-apak lang minsan ng paa sa ibang bansa… pero astang jet setter and entitled na kaya’t kung makareklamo, akala mo naman F (first class) or J (business) on a full service carrier binayaran.

Also, madami ding Pinoy abroad na FEELING minsan...

Get travel insurance when travelling on Ceb palpac...
May 4 dapat flight namin Osaka-Mnla via Cebupacific 8:25pm.. So it was moved to 10:20 then they decided to cancel 11:30pm. We were not allowed to get our checked-in luggage tapos pinapalabas pa kame ng boarding gate.

We asked them why nacancel flight namin and they told us close na runway sa manila only to find out na di naman sa manila ang prob. We were not given a decent place where to sleep and food voucher lang binigay worth 2k yen. Our flight was moved to May 5 12:30 pm. Imagine kung ilang oras kame nag antay? I was travelling with 4 kids, 2 seniors and 1 pwd.

    Advice:
    Get a travel insurance ✅
Document all the expense pra ma reimburse ✅
    Take photos/videos for evidences ✅

Travel insurance won't cover flight disruptions due to airport or government incompetence, sadly.

NAIA looked good in the 80s though I admire its architecture until now.

I agree. If I'm not mistaken, it was designed by Leandro Locsin, same architect as the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

Yes. Happened to me several times already. I get bumped off on a flight, they rebook me for the next day, but also give me cash.

My friend actually does this on a regular basis. Almost all his vacation flights are from CEB/PAL overbookings.

Fine cebu**** ridiculously big amount of money and/or franchise suspension.

Now that passengers still has time ditch this POS airline. Cancel all flights with them for the coming Holy Week.

The allowed over booking excuse is too lame and should not be use during peak season when practically everyone wants to get out. Kasuapangan nila resulted to the chaos compounded by their short manpower dahil sa pagtitipid during peak season. They should be suspended by CAAB.

overbooking should not be allowed during peak season (esp Christmas) dahil una, mas mahal ang pamasahe during that period. pangalawa, siguradong lilipad yung mga magpapa-book dahil they want to be with their families for the holidays.

Dapat din the airline companies, esp CEBPac, should put in staff/personnel who are capable of handling situations similar to what happened nung nakaraan. yung makakapag-isip pa and hindi mara-rattle. and dapat andun ang supervisor or someone who can be in-charge.

Ha ha ha! Nakaka insulto naman the way they treat passengers. My friend told me riding cebu pacific was just like riding a local bus, on air.

OA naman ng friend mo? Wala naman standing sa 5J hahaha

I think kahit anong blunder pa ng 5J, people will still patronize them.

Kita mo naman sun cellular kahit palpak na network? Dahil free calls and text dami pa din subscribers.

JG changed the market forces from mobile network to airways.

    Much better than before IMO.

Unlimited text and calls din naman ang globe to globe and smart to smart. My colleague gets a lot of flack for having Sun as his MAIN phone I really don't think the price difference is worth the hassle/headache/horror... but that's just me.

Smart and globe offered promos following sun cellular free text and call promo. Sun cellular changed the way smart and globe offerings that time.

Dami pang ibang airline so wag sumiksik sa cebu pac. Minsan mura pa sa PAL.

Mga pinoy kasi hilig sa last minute...tapos reklamo
