I gues you get what you pay for....
Sana they serve fishballs and kikiam on board, yum
P50/bottle of water is really expensive for our standards, but for foreigners that's a little over $1, which is how much bottled water cost when I was in Italy 7 years ago.
Everything on board a plane (or the international airport) is usually expensive, kaya I dont really buy stuff on board.
Mga kafatids ...every airline meron talaga complains about sevices and delays..kahit 5 stars airlines like Cathay Pacific and Emirates..Here is the reasons...
Delayed Flights
- 5J (cebupac) has only 15 aircrafts servicing 33 destinations
- Turn around is only 45mins to 1 hr (arrive and depart)
- weather
- Airport condition ( a pilot will not land during poor visibility)
- Terminals (flow of boarding procedures can affect the time of departures)
- Technical trouble ( 5J is praying that no two aircrafts will be grounded at the same time) uti na lang they got airbus
- Aircraft over utilize ( more flying time, more income)
- Maximize
Service
- 5J uses contract agency in their workforce...flight attendants, ground staffs, ticketing, security, catering...etc kaya walang union.
- Comfort....5J took off 1 toilet room to add extra seats inside the aircrat they made a 150 seaters aircraft to 170 (A320) and 130 seats to 150 (A319).
- Food ...did you know that your paying the food that they are serving you sa ibang airline? kahit airline in the US are offering inflight food for sale. kaya buy food from the departure area..and don't forget to bring water.
always remember 5J is a Low Cost Carrier...don't expect anything.
In fairness to 5J is above par compare to other LCC around the world..US Air tells passengers to pick and off load their garbage during deplaning.
imagine without 5J......how much are we paying to travel? If you want to travel in style 5J is not the airline for you.
PEACE!!!
Guys, I don't know if this is the right place for this topic.
To summarize the story, na-delay ang flight ng tatay ng boyfriend ko coming from Sydney to Hong Kong to Manila. Ang original plan kase is tuloy-tuloy na pauwi ng Tacloban so meron pang isang domestic flight after ng connecting flights from Wellington. Since na-delay nga, kelangan namin pa rebook yung domestic flight with Cebu Pacific.
So morning next day, nagparebook kame sa Galleria (still cant contact the phone number) and guess what?
So kumain muna kame pagbalik namin after an hour, 232 pa lang yung sine-serve!
Sobra! Yung phone number nila, verizon wireless yung sumasagot and hindi daw active yung number na yun! Kainis!
Sana man lang, bago sila nagroll out ng new system nila, meron man lang sila contingency plans.
You can read my post about this here.
Tsk. Tsk.
if you have a credit card na mababa lang ang credit limit why dont you try to book online na lang para medyo less hasle.
ang prob lang minsan pag down ang network nila, so if you feel na medyo matagal mag response network wag ka muna mag online booking baka madesgrasya, den you have to call their CSR para ma confirmed if pumasok ung payment or bboking mo
i tried to call then yesterday busy ung line nila
and try to book in advance para mababa pa fare![]()
Here's my story naman... We just had a family trip at Boracay this past weekend, but before that, sobrang nangunsumi ako sa Cebu Pac na yan...
Second week of January, i initially purchased 5 roundtrip tickets for my family through their online facility.. Travel date is on March 30,2008 0845am and will be returning on April 1 04:15pm.. that is MLA-CATICLAN-so ok na lahat. i then booked for another 6 PAX for my relatives who will be joining us at Bora, everything i though was okay. Then come first week of feb, i got a text message saying that the return flight was rescheduled to 03:55pm, well, no problem for me since it's just a matter of 20 mins and we will be early in the airport naman, that was for the first 5 passengers..
So a month passed by.. actually, until a week before holy week, and our trip will be 2 weeks from that time now.. Tuesday, 3/11, i called their call center just to ask a more decent eticket because our flight was moved 20 minutes earlier.. then eto na, to may surprise sabi ng agent, "sir, ung 3:55pm na flight namin, wala na po to.. your new return flight sked is 6:55am april 1, shall i confirm this now?" parang ako, WTF!!! are you crazy, everything was already arranged up to the hotel, then how do you think can the 11 of us go that early to caticlan airport from Boracay? and wala naman sigurong gustong iispoil ang isa pang morning sa bora diba..
so i asked, how come you didn't notify me through text just like what you did 1.5 months ago??? sabi ng agent: actually sir, lahat ng bookings, may naka assign na magttext sa inyo, nagkataon lang na tumawag kayo..." sabi ko, talaga so kelan nyo pa ako inonotify aber? and how come did that happen in the first place? ang sabi nalang ng agent was bigla daw nagkaron ng airport policy schedules... "and one more thing sir, your 8:45am flight was also moved to 9:10am"...grabe, this was happening 2 weeks before the trip... so sabi nila, airport schedule problems, i asked my cousin who were going with us but flying thru PAL, wala naman daw changes sa kanila and we both had our bookings as early as january...
sabi ko, i won't confirm the change in schedule... so days gone by, i called them up tuesday diba, i got their text message notifying me of the change in schedule saturday na...sobra, 5 days before nila naconfirm sa akin, and dahil nga daw nagkataon lang na tumawag daw ako...
we called them up, madaling araw aroung 2am para less ang calls nila, ung agent nila, grabe, hanep sa customer service, halatang taranta na...wala na daw silang magagawa about that... sabi ko irerefund nalang daw namen, sabi nya iccompute lang daw nya ung charges? nagalit na ako, sabi ko charges? kayo pa ang may lakas ng loob na sumingil ng surcharge? wow... then, they gave me an option, either take nga the 6:55am flight from caticlan, or just take the 6:45 pm flight from kalibo.. they will shoulder daw the transfer from caticlan to kalibo, and will give us free one way travel vouchers anywhere in visayas to compensate for the difference in fair, and instead of giving us a refund for the fair difference...
ok na sana eh, because all the while, i thought 5 passengers lang kaming apektado..but i had the feeling na mukhang alanganin din ung mga relatives ko, so i asked, how about these passengers? ok na ba ung return flight nila? sabi ng agent, sir, actually, lahat ng flights namen in the afternoon from caticlan are cancelled? so nagulat ako?? haaa??? bakit? eh kasi sir for safety reasons eh... so i have no choice diba... sabi ko, so again, if not for me asking their status, i will not know? sabi na naman ng agent, and again i quote, "sir, may assigned agent po na magtetext sa inyo, baka nagkataon lang po na naunahan nyo lang sila..." my goodness... that was already holy tuesday or holy wednesday i think...
so, ganun na nga, we will all go to kalibo for the 6:45pm return flight on april 1, with us getting free one way travel vouchers... it did not end there...while checking in last sunday morning sa airport, i found out na ung mga propeller jets similar to asian spirit lang pala ung gagamitin.. so sabi ko sa check in officer, bakit lahat ng flights sa hapon nacancell? " sir kasi hindi po dumating ung iba pa pong units na inorder...eh hindi na po kakayanin ng mga planes right now na bumalik pa sa hapon since marami ng flights sa umaga.." so dito talaga uminit ulo ko...sabi ko, eh bakit as early as january, nagschedule na kayo ng ganun karaming flights eh wala pa pala kayong mga eroplano?? anyway, so i just asked, so ok na ba lahat? wala ng changes? "sir wala na po..." okay, so we off we go to caticlan that morning...
pasensya na mga sir, last part na...hehehe... so we were all enjoying the first night at bora last sunday... then all of a sudden, i got a text message informing me that our 6:45pm flight, was again moved to 6pm...grabe... for me, andun na kami eh...tpos babaguhin pa...so that meant, leaving bora earlier again, and also, i needed to take a long distance call to manila just to confirm the details... sobra talaga sila...
so ayun lang, naman ang kalbaryo ko sa kanila...sana lang, before they make their schedule of flights, sana confirmed na muna ung equipments nila to avoid inconveniences to the customers, to think na they don't even have good customer service at all... so next time, we will just use the travel vouchers, since it is non transferrable daw... tapos ung other half ng trip, i will just fly PAL...besides, PAL also has promo seat sales, that mathces Cebu Pac's seat sales...
Thanks for your patience reading my post... just want to share something to you guys...(",)
well as expected naman from a low-budget airline kung san nagtitipid sila sa lahat ng bagay. from tickets to no of employees and offices. tapos planes and pilots nila stretched to the limit.
hindi naman problem pagpurchase ng ticket kasi pwedeng online. the real headache comes when you reschedule, rebook or cancel a booking. tyagaan na lang sa pila sa ticketing offices.
at kung magsked sila ng flights, walang allowance for delay. so kung ang isang plane madelay ng 1 minute sa 1st flight nya, sa 10 flights na gagawin ng plane na yun, by the last flight, delayed na sya ng halos 1 hour.
OT: napanood ko dati sa discovery channel regarding the making of the A380. when airlines purchase planes, may mga scheduled flights na yun kahit na in 2-3 yrs pa ang actual delivery. that's why it costs aircraft manufacturers a lot in penalties pag late delivery sila. so what cebupac did (allowed bookings kahit wala pa yung planes) was normal for airlines. malas lang e nadelay ang supplier nila.

I get CebuPac when PAL isn't an option, or if malaki yung price difference.
Oh, and I like getting paid whenever I get overbooked.
From my experience pareho lang naman nadedelay PAL and CEB.

delay ng 30min-2hrs is ok, so far sa pal never pa naman ako na delay. mahirap yung biglaan cancelled ang flight which is madalas sa cebupac. imagine kung vacation ka lang and you have a couple of days lang tapos naka book na hotel mo. in the end sayang pera at oras mo badtrip ka pa.
