Just got this info. There might be other areas which are not mentioned but the list might just have a high incidence rate.

Police tagged these areas as the most dangerous for carjacking

    Commonwealth Ave.
    Katipunan
    Gilmore Ave.
    Hemady St.
    Araneta Ave.
Marcos Highway (Pasig / Antipolo / Marikina)
    C-5 (Makati)
    MacArthur Highway (Valenzuela)
    Quirino Ave.
    J.P, Rizal / Taft (Manila)
    C-3 (Malabon)

    New Manila ranks highest incidence.

From what I heard, it's almost the same price of the car/SUV na ipapa-bulletproof mo. Aside from modifying the body and windows to absorb the bullets/shrapnels/explosions, AFAIK they also modify the vehicle's engine so that it can offset the excess weight added by the bulletproofing.

Sheeet... wala, di na talaga tayo lalabas sa bahay nyan Glenn.

I was on a road near Hemady using our Civic a few weeks back (going to St. Lukes that time) at around 11pm then an old LC in front of me made a full stop. 'Nak ng baka, na-praning ako sobra! Inuna ko agad at umabot ako ng mga 110-120kph papuntang E. Rod.

Sana magkalat yung PNP ng mga BAIT CARS tulad sa States. Example, Ford Explorer or Gen3 na paikot-ikot jan sa mga areas na yan, pero puro SWAT Commandos pala ang nakasakay.

I think these police "elite" commandos, tulad ng pagkaka-describe sa kanila sa dyaryo, should instead pick a fight with these criminals, instead of just being on the defensive side all the time.

My personal experience, although my mit adv. was not carnap, i lost my spare tire after parking near the Quirino Grandstand in an early morning sunday.

Living up to your handle eh... j/k

I also lost my spare tire before in the Manila/Binondo area.

As much as possible, keep to the main roads where you can maintain a good speed.

I agree... our police should do more then being on the defensive... set up traps! Police visibility is also a big factor, if they spent time patrolling the streets instead of escorting those 4#%#*%#%#!%#!%#!%#!*%$!*# politikos then maybe we'll get somewhere.
