Carjacking Spree Hits QC; 12 Cars Stolen In 12 Days

Police have recorded at least 12 carjacking incidents in Quezon City for the first twelve days of the month, ABS-CBN reported Thursday.

The incidents occurred despite police going on heightened alert status for the May elections.

On Wednesday night, carjackers seized a model 1999 Toyota Prado along Katipunan Avenue. Driver Jeffrey Mendoza said he was driving along Katipunan Avenue when a Mitsubishi Outlander bumped him. He said several armed men got off the vehicle and ordered him out of the Prado. He said the gunmen commandeered the vehicle, leaving him behind.

Before the incident, car thieves also took a Honda Civic parked in front of a building along Congressional Avenue.

The Quezon City police's anti-carjacking unit has been alerted for the recovery of the two vehicles.

Yung mga taga QC at mga pupunta sa QC, doble ingat po tayo. Nagkalat ang mga carjackers!

    Hi All!

Well, this is a trend that goes with every election.

    They need the money.

This is one good reason to invest in ARB front and rear bumpers, side rails and steps as armor to defend you from minor fender benders.

If you got slightly bumped, you wouldn't have to worry about damage to you.

    :regards:

Of course youre lucky if you get away with your precious rides unharmed but IMO, Best way really is to insure your rigs and just give them what they want.

You and your loved one's rides are more important than your rigs. Claim nyo nalang sa insurance...
