I agree with this one...
I also used to think of it this way however, it happens that it's not because you're already at either the side of the road or Lane means you're already safe, the fact that you are lane-splitting (though lane splitting is safe in some respect to prevent collision in medium to heavy traffic) reduces the motorcycle's visibility to other road users same with being on the road sides than running at the middle of the road/lane, causing incidences like motorcyclists getting sideswiped by other vehicles because they were not seen and when the motorcyclists are lane splitting on a high-speed traffic (it confuses the other motorist as to identifying which lane the motorcycle is going to take or if not if the motorcycle is on the side of the road, same thing happens, it's presence is being reduced to other motorists having these motorbikes sideswiped, I'd say ride motorcycles as if it's a car on high speed traffic, a motorcycle is also a vehicle and I reckon that it also has a right to occupy a lane space as big as a car can occupy, just my two cents...
