April 22nd, 2012 07:40 PM #16Actually
1001 - 9999 series are issued to diplomats, embassy and consulate officials, country ambassadors and some expats accorded diplomat status. These plates will have a small sticker on the bottom left part, displayed as "DC" for "diplomatic corps"
Ambassadors' plates are always "1000". These plates have a small CM sticker on the bottom left part. The vehicle will also usually carry the country's flag.
10000 - 25999 series for embassy vehicles, locators, and expats who have tax exempt privileges. These will have a small sticker on the bottom left that reads OEV for "other exempted vehicle" and a corresponding sticker on the windshield.
To illustrate: ADB professional staff are issued 2xxxx series while ADB Director-Generals (and up) are accorded diplomat status and are issued four digit plates.
SBMA locators are issued five digit plates that indicate their "other exempted vehicle" status. But these do not have diplomatic immunity.

So many violators for this corner. Nakakainis. You have to take the long route around, while those red-plated, blue-plated, yellow-plated jack *$$es line up at the center of the intersection and make the prohibited turn. Grrr!!!! Republic of Binay at work.

What's the deal with this f-ing corner? Anyone close to anyone in the Makati Government care to elaborate?
Why is it that the eagle-eyed boys in yellow are blind as bats when it comes to this corner? Add to that those deputized security guards in blue working for MAPA will likewise look in another direction when someone does the turn?
WTF?! What's going on?
If they want to make this a corner with a left turn and a u-turn, so be it. Take down the signages and reprogram the traffic lights. Grrr!
