the only reason i can think of, is if the vehicles are stored in a tight garage or warehouse and they fold the mirrors so they won't get damaged and so people can move around them.

i remember when i used to have a shop, we would park our vans like that and i would use one and always forget that the mirrors were folded.

Dati kasi di pa ganun kasikip ang daan natin. People can drive without the passenger side mirror. I believe it was mi-80's when passenger side mirrors came as standard and not as an option.

Medyo malas kami sa ganyan. 4 na side mirror na nanakaw sa amin(2 different cars). I drove "side-mirrorless" several weeks at a time. Buti malaki rearview namin. Medyo nasanay naman ako pero mahirap din. Kabado din pag may mmda. When we finally had them replaced, I had to get used to using side mirrors again So my advice is, palitan agad

damn! buhay pa rin ang mga lintek na sidemirror gang na yan? i remember a few years ago, naging biktima rin ako ng ganyan, twice. one back in 1998, sa may edsa. another one i think 2 years ago lang, which is very spectacular. bakit kamo? kasi i was cruising to a stop in araneta cor e.rodriguez ave early morning when the traffic light turn into yellow light. preparing for a stop, here comes two teenaged boys suddenly ripping the mirrors off! syet. wala akong nagawa. ever since, i always carry my pepper spray. kaya try nilang lumapit at gumawa ng masama, bubulagin ko sila. pambihira, you work hard to earn cash tapos harapan kang babastusin? ano sila hilo? fortunately, wala pa namang incident na ganun ulit.
