Then when the guard went out to check the cars, tinanong nya yung friend ko kung nilipat nya ang car nya sa likod ng office. Kinabahan na ang friend ko then that was the only time na nalaman na ninakaw na sasakyan nya.
Do you think inside job yun? Ako nga yun ang kutob ko! 2nd hand kase yun and she was planning to sell it na nga! Ang may kopya lang nung keys nun ay sya, bf nya and I think the original owner has a copy pa rin!

October 9th, 2007 02:10 AM #3vehicles of all types can be stolen its just that rare types are hard to sell and register as they are only few (in the Philippines), perhaps what this carnappers would do would be either to chop chop the cars, swap engines and chassis, or bring to far away land lets say abroad, or if in the phil in the far flang province and register there, if its with insurance ur lucky.

October 9th, 2007 05:41 AM #7oo nga... pero seriously speaking, those thieves were pretty hi-tech para makuha nila yng oto. it only means that they have extensive knowledge of the vehicle kung hindi na trigger yng immobilizer or the roving guard. o kaya my ngprovide s knila ng susi nung oto dahil hindi madali icopy ang susi ng mga bagong BMers...

Her BF is in Europe right now at alam na nawala na yung car.
According to the kapitbahay of my friend, two weeks ago merong napansin silang 2 innova na laging naka park almost of front of their place kase parang mga townhouse yung lugar nila. Tsk....tsk....tsk...

Most car owners shrug off the the thought that there are a select number of thieves that do high end carnapping. But this here is proof that it is a reality.
There was a a time when, no less than Ping Lacson who was then the head of the PAOCTF, unearthed a band of car thieves who prey only on the high end models, mostly of European makes.
The mastermind or boss was a very rich Chinoy businessman who funded the well organized operation which even had their "tools-of-the-trade" imported from other countries. They only do a few boosts in a year but when they do, it's very well planned and the units usually have waiting buyers already.
My guess is that the thieves have been stalking the X3 for at least a month, taking down notes, dates, time schedules and so on.
Owning a high end car requires a big slice of paranoia on the owners part because we can never tell .
Let's hope that the lady recovers her X3 soon.
The problem is batteries degrade. I guarantee the very first time you do that you will be...
