***-*** Black Jeep Cherokee

Last night, on my way home from work at around 10:15 pm, I figured in a minor traffic accident along Paseo De Roxas near the stoplight at the corner of Makati Ave. This black Jeep Cherokee with plate number ***-*** hit my W124 rear passenger side door and fender as I was about to enter the middle lane. It made a dent on the door and a long scratch along my rear fender. It took awhile of the driver to alight his vehicle as I found out later that he seems to have had one drink too many. He is in his mid fifties (sorry but that how I looked at him) and introduce himself as a Smart employee after I introduced myself. Nasa taas daw siya ng Smart, for which I replied, nasa labas naman tayo diba. After a short chit-chat with him telling me, well short of lecturing me, walang problema yan, deductible yan, talo daw ako dahil nag swerve ako. I told him let's wait for the police to arrive. After a while iba na ang work niya. Nasa insurance daw siya, Mafre, and yun anak daw niya ang taga Smart. Ok, so I said to myself medyo naka inum ito. There were no MAPSA in the area at that time, usually northbound after crossing Makati AVe along Paseo may naka tambay na kumpol pero last night wala. Then at around 10:45 pm the driver rode his vehicle and sped off...tinakbuhan ako!!!! grrr!!! wag ng tumawa mga Tsikoteers. I wasn't able to chase him as he timed his escape just when the light turn red on me. So I said ok lang, minor dent, no physical injuries done. So off I went to Buendia then right towards Edsa. I was driving a little faster than I normally would. As I approach Guadalupe bridge I saw the Cherokee again. We were crawling at around 10-20kph, yes traffic pa rin around 11 pm sa Edsa. So I was tailing him thinking of what to do next. I figured I'll follow this guy home, pero on second thought it will be just a waste of gas and time as he would just deny having seen me. He probably saw me when I change lane to pass him as he tried to squeeze in between two cars infront of him. I lost him around the Edsa Megamall area.

Ok just in, it's a company vehicle registered to Steel Cannon Insurance Agency, 506 ETY Bldg Binondo Manila.

Hah... kung kailan kailangan mo ang MAPSA, wala sila!

Pero sa oras na di mo sila kailangan, andun sila, nangungurakot ng pera!

Oo nga. Well ganun talaga kahit sa pelikula. We were in the middle lane hoping na may dumaan na hagad dahil traffic was bit slow, bit lang ha. Company car pala yun. The driver was probably the owner (naka long sleeves and tie) or an insurance agent.

Thanks. I forgot na hehehehe...pero I have connections naman sa LTO. Its a company vehicle own by Cannon Steel Insurance 506 ETY bldg Binondo Manila. Oh well I hope I don't see him while I'm in my Patrol.

Afrasay, you are correct that it is registered under Steel Cannon in Makati. Spoke with their staff Michelle and they will update us to whom it is assigned. Will keep you posted sir.

Just to add, you may bring the dent to a PDR specialist (Rovic) along Jupiter near Buendia. He does it really really well. For the painting, kaya na siguro yan mga 1,000 the way you described it.

Pero sa totoo lang makapal din pala kaha ng W124. The kiss made just a shallow dent lang naman. What was going through my mind was Jason Ivler pero mukhang di naman violent yun driver. Yun palang anak niya ang taga Smart eh akala siguro bosing ako kaya tinakbuhan ako hehehe.

kayo pala yun... tataka ako kung bat trafik pa nung ganung oras eh gabi na, yun pala me aksidente na. ask ko lang sir TS, kasi kung titignan ko sa anggulo ko (nasa right side kasi ako ng accident) parang may mali lang kasi sa pagkakasingit mo, parang swerve na bigla pa kanan, di ba parang mali yung pagkakaliko nyo? question lang naman...
