may bad experience ako in Boracay last wednesday.
the crew of the boat-for-hire headed by a certain Eric (Cauleric was the name of the boat) offered my group (we're 6 then) for an island tour/snorkling around boracay for P1400. after snorkling and surrendering to them the googles, they're charging us for snorkling fee (ok lang, nagbayad kami). after having lunch, eto na sila and claiming 8 daw ang googles nila at nawawalan sila ng isa. they want us to pay P2500 for the missing (daw) google. lintek, mahal pa ang google sa boat rental! we insisted that we wont pay for it because its not our fault. we called some authorities and the hotel manager of true house hotel (where we stayed) to help us deal with these people. we said that, why bring 8 googles when we're just a group of 6? we dont even know if they have 8 googles then. probably they were doing this kind of racket for a long time na.
good thing that the authorities and the hotel manager there, after hearing each other's statements, sided with us and gave the crew some sermon and warning. may history na pala itong mga ito before with some korean tourists, sabi ng mga vendors dun.

iwasan nyo na lang makipag-deal with this people baka ma-gimikan kayo ng mga ito. naka-station sila sa Dave' Place between ng Cocomangas at True Homes Hotel in Boracay.

Racket yan!

oo nga, may aftershock pa akong alon-alon.
