a php45K worth of anti-theft device prevents anyone whose fingerprint has not been registered in the car's security system from driving it. but monday night (in Kuala Lumpur), he discovered, very painfully, that the device would not prevent a carjacking.

The ruthless robbers chopped off his index finger with knife so they could use it to drive off his Mercedez Benz S320.

doble ingat na lang, it ca happen to anybody...

if that happened, it means minamanmanan ka ng nung mga carnappers for them to know that ur car uses your fingers to arm and disarm your car alarm. so people, please be observant and be aware of your surroundings.

You guys watch too many movies, you can't do that with a retinal scanner. A retinal scanner tries to match patterns in the blood vessels in the eye, and a dead eye wouldn't have any blood flowing through the eye at all. Thus the scanner can't (or won't) recognize the dead eyes.

They'd probably take you hostage and force you to start the car at gunpoint, instead, every time until you register their eyes to your car security system.
