    6 hurt after SUV rams trike in Cubao

    MANILA, Philippines – Six people were injured when a sports utility vehicle (SUV) rammed a tricycle at the Cubao underpass early Saturday morning, police said.

    Three of victims were seriously injured after being thrown off the tricycle that had plate number UC 3892.

    Their vehicle was destroyed after being hit by the Mitsubishi Montero Sport that had plate number PJO 878.

    One of the victims, who was brought to the East Avenue Medical Center, was identified as Divine Marquez.

    Her companions remain in critical condition, according to doctors.

    The SUV, meanwhile, overturned because of the accident.

    Three of the 4 people riding in the SUV were also hurt.

    All of the victims were brought to a nearby hospital.

    A witness said the SUV was travelling fast when the tricycle suddenly cut its path.

    yan ang hirap di pinapansin ng mga pulis yang tricycle na yan kahit nasa hi way pa. dapat yan hulihin lahat.

    Kahit alam naman ng mga tricycle driver na bawal dumadaan pa rin sila . Pag naaksidente kasalanan pa ng nakabangga.

    mabuti rin na nasampulan yung trike driver. ang sisiga kasi sa highway ng mga iyan, ang galing mag-cut tapos ang andar 20kph.

    napanood ko sa rescue to, kawawa sakay ng tricycle, patay na yung driver.

    Naaawa ako sa mga tao na mas pinapahalagahan pa yung montero or yung pagka abala ng nasa SUV kesa sa buhay ng tao, sabihin na natin na tricycle nga ang may kasalanan, buhay pa rin ng tao yung naging kapalit sa pagkakamali niya which i think is hindi sapat na kabayaran.

    kawawa ung suv driver.. ganyan ang nangyari sa akin e.. pero bike naman na biglang gumewang sa highway...sadly, natubok ko....

    Naturally, the vehicle was fast because it was running on a major thoroughfare. The tricycle shouldn't have been there in the first place.
