The town of San Juan Metro Manila, specifically in the
low income/squatter areas, takes the trophy for being
the dumbest, most barbaric, most inconsiderate people
in the Philippines. No wonder, doon galing si Erap at

Juan..." Now that's really DUMB. Duh!!

isang araw lang yan sa isang taon...alam naman natin, pag dumaan ka dyan on the day of their patron saint..babasain ka, kung ayaw mong mabasa, take a cab..or take another route...tradisyon at kultura na kasi yan...

    Good point!

When that kind of tradition was born, it was during a time when people were more or less stress-free. Indeed it would be nice if the manner in which that tradition is celebrated would be toned down to a more practical level. (Ex. Have a designated 'wetting zone'.... for instance, the SJ munisipyo.. so, if you want to drench somebody, you have to go to the SJ munisipyo.)

Anwyay, like what others posted in this thread....it's tradition. Mahirap alisin yan. The only recourse would be to avoid passing through SJ during that day.

Did anyone see the videos of the San Juan Fiesta? Anarchy na anarchy. It was so scary because they were opening doors of vehicles and throwing buckets of water. I can't imagine if they did that to my vehicle, parang as good as flooded yung interior You can't be retaliate naman kasi kukuyugin nila. I feel bad for the truck drives and pahinantes. I hope they have change of clothes.

    feel ko,
    city hall created the problem.
city hall should indemnify these victims.

this type of problem of certain citizens going overboard, despite so-called strict guidelines, has been a recurring problem in the many years past.
city hall has shown its consistent in-ability to control these folks, yet they continue to allow the "festivities" to happen.

sabi nila, "but we have amply warned them about the activity...!". parang sinasabi nilang, "huwag kayo pumunta dito.".
sagot nang iba, "so you warned. but i have no choice but to pass by that place! it's the only way i can get to where i have to go."

    highs.

Ang problema, PUJ jeepney to doc.

its been like this for the longest time... swerte nga this time na "they no longer use water from the sewerage"

I think naging peaceful lang nung may Covid kaya people forgot how annoying this festival is.

It turned really ugly in some instances. I'm sure marami pa vs those that were captured on video.

Yung iba talagang tinatarget yung vulnerable parts like mukha, sa gamit nila like bags/backpacks.

pero di din pwedeng basta idahilan na tradisyon kc, they should also be considerate of the feelings of those who are not from san juan, halimbawa may napikon, humingi sila dapat ng dispensa n huwag yung papatulan pa nila at makikipagsuntukan sila

can't blame them...alam mong babasain ka pag napadaan ka dun...

wag kang pupunta o dadaan...take an alternate route...may choice tayo dito di ba?

kung dadaan ka pa rin...well, its a risk for you to take.
