Yeah, that might be the reason...

In the Baclaran area as well, tagal na rin ng hukay, hukay doon.

Thanks to maynilad, they had to close the sucat-bicutan service road afew mos., ago and just make it one way, darn makin't hard for those going near UPS a living hell...making you pay extra toll fee, traversing pocketfull of crater sized holes...and what do they after you might ask? they just cover it like crap! now making it worse especially during rainy season...they freakin don't care! be it magkalasug-lasug under part ng auto mo! freaggin' bast*$&$!

Buking sila!

When a leak developed in front of our driveway they had to break down our pebbled driveway to access the broken pipes, but from experience kasi they just cover it up with soil. This time pinapirma namin sila na they will finish it properly and cover it with pebbles the way it originally was and that we will not have to shell out money for it.

Matigas pa rin ang ulo, it took a while, but we got it done. Still doesn't look picture perfect pero at least napwersa sila ayusin nang maigi yon.

And the main cause for the leak? Dump trucks plying our residential street as a shortcut to Novaliches. The houses behind us are inside the "gated" compound pero balita ko may tinirang row of houses last time I was there.

The ironic part is that you trust MWSS with your water supply (or Maynilad, etc) but you can't trust them to do it right.

Sta. Mesa is no different, my in-law's place is also like that. They cemented their street, which was a good few inches higher now than it was before (nagbabaha kasi pag umuulan). Nung inaayos yon my father-in-law told us their driveway was not covered by the repair, and they would have to pay if they wanted to get it done. Ang masama pa, pababa na ngayon yung driveway nila due to the elevated road surface so doon nag-iipon ang tubig kapag umuulan...

*Shadow I think you have a point sa pagtapal ng lupa, pero ang masama doon is hindi nila sinasabi sa concerned parties kaya hindi mo alam kung iiwanan na lang nilang ganon, or babalikan pa nila para ayusin.

In fairness naman, when I was there, kapag may mga maliliit na lubak (hindi pa malakas yung ulan), after a week natapalan na kaagad ng aspalto, which was good para wala ka na iiwasang lubak sa daily commute.
