Bad motoring etiquette: What you hate the most.

instead of flashing, i turn my left signal light on. akala nila kakaliwa talaga ako kaya babalik sila sa lane nila dahil di na sila makakadaan. super effective sa motorcycles na galit pa pag di mo pinagbigyan.

anyways, one night nagbus ako (pascual liner), nagsakay si driver sa intersection (sa gitna mismo kaya walang makadaan) sa tapat ng S&R congressional ave (yung walang stoplight). bumisina ng matagal si grandia sa likod. nung nakalusot na si grandia dahil umandar na si bus nagbaba si grandia ng window and told something to the driver. pag overtake ni grandia sabi ni driver "parang di pilipino".

di ko gets logic nya. pag pinoy dapat pinagbibigyan yung pasaway? dapat pagbigyan kasi gabi naman? dapat pagbigyan kasi blue collar job si driver?

dapat sa bus driver binabatukan o kaya tinatadyakan sa ngalangala.

Based sa recent observation ko on C5 and SLEX, i'm starting to believe na akala yata ng mga delivery/utility/elf truck driver, yung leftmost lane ang "slow" lane and yung 2nd lane ang overtaking lane.

The other night on SLEX, fina-flash ko si delivery truck na tumatakbo ng <60kph sa overtaking lane on SLEX sucat-bicutan. Di ako makaovertake sa middle lane kasi may isa pang truck na roughly same speed din nya. After 3x ko sya ni-flash, lumipat sya sa middle lane tapos nung mag-accelerate na ko to overtake, bigla ba naman bumalik sa lane ko and sinadya pang mag-brake. Flash and busina ang ginanti ko sa kanya, tapos unti unti syang umovertake sa 2nd truck and tumabi sa middle lane. Sakto pagbalik nya sa middle lane, merong bus na lumilipat from 3rd lane to middle lane, na-cut si delivery truck so bigla syang nagbrake para hindi mabangga ni bus.

In contrast, I tried driving 2x to work at 3:30am last week on SLEX, the huge trailer trucks were traveling at the min allowed speed, but there was no hogging of the overtaking lane. Those who wanted to overtake did overtake, then miraculously returned to the middle lane. Respect for the truck drivers na nakasabay ko those 2 days.

i wanted to. kaso next block na yung bababaan ko. baka di ako pababain at pagtulungan pa ko murahin ng mga kapwa pasahero. mga pasahero na (di ko minamaliit) walang sariling sasakyan kaya di alam ang tama o mali sa batas lansangan. magsama sama sila.

i used to ride c5 nova buses when i was in highschool. ansaya nung matulin tapos swerving pa. topic nga namin sa school yung mga "best" buses na matutulin: vilfran/vil5000, mafel(fairview), lippad(fairview) etc.

now im older, have a DL, drives a private vehicle. ayoko na sumakay sa kanila.

Bad trip un mga truck and trailer van drivers sa osmena hiway going to manila. They hogged the inner lane and then turn right going to nagtahan.

trailers having bigger turning radii?

what i hate with motorists along quirino ave in manila ay bina-block ang intersection sa pedro gil and san andres (* osmeña highway). yes, green pa yung light pero puno na yung intersection till it goes yellow then red. in the end those at pedro gil st end up waiting for the intersection to clear in order to cross quirino avenue. but sadly green light na again for quirino ave.

nakakainis lang dahil majority dito ay private vehicles, at mga nasa 1M peso mark pa ang value. really cant buy common sense huh. sa osmeÑa highway-san andres naman mga trailers ang pasaway.

The guy in a fortuner honks on me on a red light and signaling to turn left. ITS RED LIGHT YOU DUMB ASS!

I ignored it. And he honked again! Damn it.. i put my bike on a side stand and looked at him.. told him that its a red light.

He told me to move forward.. (this guy is really stupid not knowing the rules about pedestrian lanes).

Green light kicked in and he overtook me.. argh i failed to tell him his ignorance!

I ignored it. And he honked again! Damn it.. i put my bike on a side stand and looked at him.. told him that its a red light.

He told me to move forward.. (this guy is really stupid not knowing the rules about pedestrian lanes).

Green light kicked in and he overtook me.. argh i failed to tell him his ignorance!

Yup, that's why i was asking so the situation could be clarified. Sa BGC, even if there's a left turn signal light, basta green yung paderetso, pwede rin mag left pag clear ang oncoming lane.

Everywhere in BGC you are allowed to turn left on green "with caution". That could be his intention. Still he was wrong because it was a red.

In BGC, the car going straight has the right of way when the light turns green. A visible sign on top of the traffic lgiht states that left turning vehicle should proceed with caution. But I have been harassed by drivers who blinked their projector lights on me just so they can make a left anytime they want to.
