Bad motoring etiquette: What you hate the most.

Napadaan din ako sa lugar na yan, nun time na kakukuha pa lang namin yun sasakyan. Syempre gala mode to the max. From Dasma thru Silang thru Tagyatay,papunta kami sa Fantasy World. So nag overtake na rin ako sa kanan, kaso yun dyip sa may right lane eh biglang huminto na hinde nagana yun brake lights, napansin ko na lang na may sumakay dun sa dyip so meaning naka hinto na sya. Since may salida naman ako at yun chevy eh ambagal talaga, na cut ko sya from the right. Ayun todo busina at nag flash pa ng ilaw. Sa isip isip ko, eh di nagising sya!

Marami kasi iniisip na porke mabagal sila eh safe na yun pag drive nila. Eh mas lalo pa sila nakaka aksidente sa gingawa nila. Kung magbabagal ka, pwede naman siguro sa right o slow lane. Parang yun napanood ko sa balita noon time na bagong bukas pa lang nun skyway or C5 ata yun. Meron bumangga sa isang sasakyan during the night. Katwiran nun nabangga eh 40kph lang daw takbo nya. Tapos nasa fastlane sya. Hayz.

Although hinde ko gina-justify yun pag overtake ko sa kanan, kaso marami din natutulog sa fast lane. Then pag naaksidente ang sasabihin mabagal na lang ang takbo nila. Kaya minsan walang choice. Pero always safety ang priority. Pag ayaw talaga umalis eh busina + highbeam na ang pang gising para ma realize nila na may pwesto sa mga gusto ng mabagal na takbo.

Maybe you're refering to Dasmarinas bayan ? yup 4 or 3 lane ata each direction.

Yung location is after na ng Dasmarinas bayan yung maraming nagtitinda ng sari saring bulaklak sa tabi ng daan two lane lang each direction.

Actually nag google ako sa tamang tawag ng kalsada haha. Pag 2 lanes each direction 4 lane road tawag pala. Ang 2 lane road ay yung 1 each direction haha. And yung reply ko is for 2 lanes each. Lagi din kasi ako dumadaan sa ganyang road sa may OG road pampanga to bataan. At sa kanan ako madalas umoovertake pero double ingat talaga kailangan icheck mabuti na open talaga at walang malapit na kanto dahil baka may sumulpot.

I bet he didn't see you. You're driving a small vehicle. Since drivers sit on the left, malaki ang blind spot ng right side, lalo na pag mas maliit like in this case, SUV vs subcompact. I don't think he'll deliberately crash his car into yours. Good thing your cousin called your attention which means, you're also not observing that well. When it's raining hard, I try to refrain from overtaking due to a lot of factors. Like wet sidemirrors so the image isn't clear, they can't see your properly; watermarked windscreens and windows so they can't see outside very well under heavy downpour, etc.

But when I do overtake, I turn on the highbeams (my lows turn on when it detects rain), make two or three beeps, then quickly complete the overtake (2 secs to observe and read initial reaction, then 2 secs to sprint through then return or go to my desired lane. Never ever hesitate. Once you make a decision, stick to it. But don't be foolish, you know more or less if your engine can power you through the overtake. If you rethink, then don't. It means, you can't.

Passing is not only getting ahead when you see it's clear but also knowing where you will merge in and where you may avoid or manuever in case of emergencies.

Naranasan ko one night sa STAR highway, may red vios or altis ata un sa fast lane na mabagal. Malayo palang nag fla flash na ko ng ilaw para tumabi na siya at lumipat ng lane. Lampas na kalahati ng sasakyan ko sir and I really thought na lampas nako. Buti na lang gising yung pinsan ko sa likod.

BTW thinking of the inner/passing /overtaking lanes as a fastlane is something that needs to be changed IMO. Hindi porke't mabilis yung takbo ng sasakyan may karapatan na magbabad sa overtaking lane. Although I admit dito sa atin mahirap ipatupad ito outside of the tolled highways sa dami ng nakabalandrang kung ano ano sa mga kalsada natin.

A few days after this was posted, I still see some posts on this same thread still calling the overtaking lane the fast lane lol. I hope I'm wrong, pero based on what I read from complaints on this same thread about people not letting them pass sounds like coming from drivers also staying on the passing lane even when the outer lane is free.

Came from a meeting sa QC area, pabalik office nag C5 na ako.

As usual traffic is heavy, after Lanuza i took the rightmost lane since kakanan ako sa canley road.

Dame nanaman balasubas na papanik pala ng bagong ilong bridge pero nasa rightmost lane din.

May cones na prior sa pagpanik ng tulay, bago umabot sa cones dun sila nagsisisingit para makapanik ng tulay.

Sa paanan papanik ng tulay may mga MMDA / Pasig Blue boys.

Pinapanood lang mga sumisingit papanik.

I opened my windows, called the attention nung isang TE, sabi ko harap harapan na yang mga sumisingit galings sa kanan.
