Didn't get to see that thread you are referring to.
Pero kasi pag nakasunod ka sa isang sasakyan at biglang nag hazard, for sure, mage-effort ka na iwasan kasi its either mag park cya or nasiraan and needs to stop. In that way, the parking/stopping vehicle dont get to be honked relentlessly by following the vehicle who gets to stop suddenly.
Experience ko kac lalo na sa mga car parks sa mall noong teenager pa ako at walang konsiderasyon sa ibang motorista, ikot then pag may nakita or nalagpasan na vacant parking slot, hinto den bigla backing (baka maunahan pa eh. Kaya madalas nababad trip at busina to the max ang mga nasa likod ko. hehehe).
Pero I observed (not sure though if it is really the right and proper way to do) that there are motorists na pag magpa-park na or hihinto cguro nasiraan or just need to momentarily stop while traversing a street/highway. Since then, ganun na din gnagawa ko and di nako binubusinahan ng mga sasakyan sa likod ko. Kaya cguro ganun na din naging expectation ko since it worked for me.

July 12th, 2012 06:12 PM #1193Depende na lang I guess, this is more forgivable than turning it on during heavy downpour.
I do it too pag paatras ako mag park tapos may nakita ako parating.
Usually though, lalo na pag may sumusunod sa likod, I just signal either left or right (kung saan yung park slot) and most people get it naman at di na didikit masyado.

Friday the 13th!
Some close calls, but thankfully nothing more than that.
FX decides to swerve to the side and do a full stop to pick up passengers. Bonehead driver then automatically opens his door. WTF?! At least he had the presence of mind to close it in a split second knowing I was there.
MC decides to overtake me, and then slows down as if he were just taking a slow Sunday ride in a backwater town. He was probably asking to be run over. Grrr!
Red Innova takes his time along Boni in Mandaluyong. Alanganin. Slow enough to hog the road, making you want to contemplate overtaking him, but just fast enough that you can't, with all the jeepneys moving here and there.
Jeepney along Ayala is weaving left and right -- parang nagbabakasakali kung may magbibigay sa kanya. It's a packed street you mor0n!
And my favorite of the day, a dark gray Hyundai Getz. We're in two adjacent Makati Ave lanes. I'm diagonally to his left about a foot behind him but about to get beside him. He has the gall to cut into my lane. Ok, sige lang, I wasn't being aggressive anyway. So I end up following him thru Makati Ave, past jeepneys and pedestrians, etc. He takes the rightmost lanes as we are about to reach South Ave so I thought he was going straight. I take the leftmost lane, overtaking a Pajero that didn't seem to know what he wanted to do. Then here comes Getz. Cuts about 3 lanes of traffic to get in front of me and turn left. WTF?! Ayaw ngang maunahan.

^Happy Friday. Hehe...
Yung isang madalas nakikita ko mag counterflow, aside from the GTExpress vans, isang red two door Pajero with a sticker of a car club (same as club as the BMW 1 series with no rear plates).
And yes, i also never give way to those who counterflow in traffic. When i see a single vehicle is coming out from a side street or establishment and on the other side of the road and maayos yung signal niya, those i let in.

Yung magagaling na maghaharang ng intersection.
At Jupiter cor Polaris earlier, white delivery van blocks intersection to turn to Polaris. Stop pa naman sila. Tsk tsk! Taxi driver behind van stops but room isnt quite enough.

Speaking of the BMW, have you seen him lately, Vinj? Di ko na kasi nakikita. I wonder if he already placed his RP plates back to where it should originally be -- at the back of the car, not somewhere inside the car or inside the house covered with dirt.

*IMm29: Guess you're not alone. Marami rin ako close calls yesterday.
1st: Grabe traffic sa Northbound EDSA kahapon kahit mga 4pm palang, and it's due to the Santolan underpass.
Anyway, was merging sa leftmost lane and this idiot on a stock green Civic EK VTi decided not to give way. Okay, pwede sana kung bumusina siya or nag-flash ng light man lang. But no! He decided to creep towards my side, on a slow-pace.. due to that, akala ko magbibigay. But then, when I was so close getting into his lane he decided to speed up at umambang babanggain talaga ako sa gilid. Syempre since yung bagong kotse ko dala nun I immediately swerved to the right and let him pass. When I got into his lane, he did the same with the other cars that wanted to go into our lane.
2nd: I was cruising along Tomas Morato yesterday then an idiot on a grey CRV stopped in front of me. Akala ko naman mag-uturn, so nung nag-left na siya I decided to accelerate slowly then nung almost pasok na hood ko bigla siya umatras. I halted. Backed up a bit, then let him park. Grabe, kaya nga nauso signal light diba. Kahit hazard, signal left or right wala!

July 15th, 2012 08:53 AM #1198friday the 13th and late post.
i was about to go to parking C ng megamall and palagi kong way is kakanan sa st. francis kasi minsan nadale na ako sarado yung pasukan pag dineretso mo going to edsa from st. francis eh kaya kumakanan ako para sure.

Why is it that some people have the nerve to get mad at those who are "slow" to move out of their parking slots. Just last week, I had to remind a spoiled brat that he had no right to harass me because I was still arranging my groceries. Long story short, I went back inside the mall to get some coffee & relax. I already paid for the slot for the entire day. I can't be obligated to rush myself just so I can accomodate a stranger who lacks manners. If you can't wait, go find another slot. 😡
