I read that E10 fuel (because of ethanol) will most likely absorb water and retain it (just like GH said) IF you have some water residue in your gas tank when you filled up. You don't encounter this with normal gasoline since it doesn't mix with the water content. Some also reported problems of the fuel filter clogging up because of the detergent properties of ethanol. These happen lang daw on the first few fill ups and after a while will just return to normal. (or so ive read... we don't have seaoil here in cebu )
hmm.i've filled up in that same gas station a couple times, cheaper diesel on the farther most lane. but the station is not well kept, so i changed again. back to caltex.
Last month I loaded my picanto sa E10 Seaoil edsa (between Abscbn and gma 7). Pag dating sa tomas morato round about tumirik ang auto ko. Normally sa seaoil sucat ako nagpapakarga ng e10 for my picant and bio exceed for my carnival.
Anyway, we had the tank drain sa petron sa may tomas morato and found out that the e10 gas was dirty. We changed the fuel to extra unleaded and went back to seaoil edsa and showed their dirty fuel. they refunded me for my full tank at nag apologize. They ran out of e10 the week before and just loaded a tanker full of e10. so nagkaroon ng sludge yung tank nila because ofthe cleaning properties of e10. Hayun sumama sa pump.
So far e10 is good to my picanto. nadale lang ako sa bad practices ng individual gas station.
