It so happens that police convoys are just as authorized to use sirens and blinking lights as fire trucks and ambulances. Of course, in all cases, dapat properly marked ang sasakyan, and the personnel wearing complete uniforms.

Alas, there is virtually no way to determine if they are using their equipment on official grounds, unless you actually flag them down and question them. Who's to say that firetrucks aren't used for personal business? Who's to say that ambulances aren't used for personal business? Would you actually go to the extent of flagging down every single squad car, fire truck and ambulance on the road, para lang usisain kung saan gagamitin yun? And on whose authority would you do that, anyway?

As long as they fulfill the visual requirements (complete markings and uniform), we'll just have to give them the benefit of the doubt when they want us to give way. :D

hi sir i share your sentiments, ako din ganyan pag alam kong nasa tama ako. but lately, na isip ko if ever nag ka gulo nde ko naman sila kayang talunin even may tsikot.com/media. Money/Power wise wala akong ganun. So i just let them go, isa lang sinasabi ko someday you will meet your match, good luck na lang.

But, in some other cases na wala talaga akong choice.

That's what i hope. So that these politicians or bureaucrats can feel what ordinary citizens like us face everyday in our chaotic traffic situation. Awareness of a problem is the first step towards working for a solution.

Pareng Bender, Pilipinas to eh... It's not about who's right, it's about who has the means to inflict harm... I wouldn't have stopped the car as well just for them, especially if I'm not driving slow to begin with...

Sa Pinas, dapat may nakamount ka na videocam na umaandar lagi sa harap at likod ng oto just to be able to have "proof" of any wrongdoings of people in power (aka public servants).

    Hi All!

Think of it this way Dude, would you want to be around those yokels when (just a matter of time) they are ambushed and blown to smithereenes?

    :asta: :burn: :boom1:

Let them pass and watch the fireworks when it happens.

magbigay ng daan. so guys, better exercise your little respect to these
convoys. it doesn't happen every day to your way.

Any policeman whether in a patrol car or a motorcycle routinely use their sirens to the point that there is no way to distinguish their intentions for using it. I wasn't trying to beat any traffic light or committed any violation. The road was clear and nothing would have happened if they let me pass.
I can picture what you're trying to say. two lanes lang nga yung underpass along Quezon Ave na tatawid ng Edsa. Alangan nga namang mag U-turn ka pa sa Edsa to stay on Quezon Ave para sa kanila. kung talagang VIP sila eh di mag chopper na lang sila.

crazy thought... don't you just wish na sa last second nung pahampas na sya ng side mirror mo biglang nag sudden brake ka at napaswing sya sa ere at sumemplang. if you caught a policeman or hagad on video while hitting ur car, di ba pwede yun kasuhan?
