just this afternoon while i'm heading for home there is this arrogant armored vehicle whose trying to have an accident.

    here is the scenario:

the armored van with body number 3282 and ATP, inc, was traversing the G.Araneta Avenue, towards, Quezon Avenue in the innermost lane, suddenly swerved to the outermost lane, missing the car in front of me, then swung back to the left as if to scare the student driver. the armored van, eventually turned left to Kaliraya st.

this happened around 6 PM today, May 11, 2006.

i'm just wondering, can't we sanction these fools, who thinks they are invincible because their vehicle were bulletproof?

My brother was accidentally sideswiped by an armored van along elliptical road. When he rode alongside it trying to notify the driver about what had happened, THE ARMORED VAN INTENTIONALLY RAMMED HIS SENTRA!

Armed guards then alighted poking their long firearms at my brother who was a college stude at the time and was still in his uniform. Undeterred, he followed them to their bank (Landbank Commonwealth). He called the house for back up. Fortunately our father was at home and responded immediately because while waiting, my brother got a boatload full of harrassment.

Boy were they surprised when our father pulled up in our biggest Mercedes Benz. Suddenly, the guards were quiet and the bank management started to serve snacks!

The guards, in their defense, were saying that they are the same as ambulances and firetrucks and that they cannot stop for accidents.

That my brother should have just followed the truck to its destination [pa'no kung sa Batanes ang biyahe nila?]

That they perceived my brother as a threat [how stupid are armored van crews nowadays?]

Not to be outdone, we got in touch with our family lawyer. Turns out that armored vans are supposed to leave identification in situations like this and to acknowledge that such situation has occured.

Needless to say, we sued them for property and emotional damages. We won easily. Talagang mali sila, eh.

if im not mistaken, armored vehicles have regular license plates diba? so they are classified as regular vehicles only, with no extra previliges. tama po ba?

tama ka slip. they are considered as private individuals and nothing else, power trip ang mga hunghang. i'm actually surprised sa sinabi ni Otep. aba mantakin mo nga naman ano, 'threat' daw yung brother nya?! mga ul*l din ang mga loko e. kala nila mauutakan nila tayo- in Otep's case, yung brother nya.

eto pa, ang nangyari kanina, convoy sila, and i think they going to their 'barn'.

marami na rin akong close encounters sa mga yan e. dapat siguro bigyang aksyon na rin natin ito. kahit yung mga owners nang armored services na lang, idisclose na lang kung sino yung mga lech na drivers na bastos. calling mr. fireblade?

oh by the way, may stickers pa sa likod yung armored van na ganito: "HOW'S MY DRIVING? FOR RECKLESS DRIVING PLEASE CALL XXX-XXXX".

pero lumalabas, HOW'S MY DRIVING? EAT SH*T!

bwisit talaga ang mga 'yan minsan.

one time, a few years back, while crossing an intersection, this armored van went through a red light and rammed my Strada at the side. muntik na kaming bumaliktad! the van kept on going buti na lang hinabol ng pulis na naka-witness ng accident.

madalas din ako muntik-muntikan dyan sa mga Tukm0l na yan. Kala mo nabili nila kalsada....

OT:I suggest tsikot members should meet and formalize the organization. That way we would have a formal organization not only to help each other but also those in need...

yan kasi tinuturo sa mga armored van drivers ng mga security agency which is "Don't stop for anything" for security reasons daw. the best we can do is to avoid them na lang. Two days ago I had an encounter with the LIBIS Keppel Bank armored van. Nag Uturn yung van in front of Ford Dealership, tapos diretso sa kabila ng street ng blocking cars going to Makati. Siyempre, busina lahat. Kasama ako dun. Right in front of me tumigil yung van, preno talaga blocking me completely. Sinadya talaga. Nung makalampas ako, ako pa minura nung driver...tsk..tsk..tsk...Gumanti na lang ako ng sigaw pero hindi ako bumaba...mahirap na, I know of so many stories na namaril yung guard with the flimsyiest of reasons. Wag nyo na lang patulan....it's not worth it.

ang nakakainis kasi dito eh feeling nila vip sila or emergency kung magmaneho. kelangan ba ganun? i mean they might be transporting cash but i do believe it is not that important compared to a life they would be taking pag naka-aksidente sila. these guys should learn a lesson IMO

dati dun sa may blue ridge going down to libis nung wala pa yung flyover, may nakasabay akong armored car ang bilis ng takbo eh downhill yun, pag dating sa may tapat ng mecury street, nakita nalang namin nakataob na sa gilid, buti walang tinaman na ibang kotse, seeing those idiots crawling out of the can made me laugh... uti nga sa inyo...

BF of MMDA already categorically stated that those MORONS (Bank Armored Vehicles) does not have any privilege as far as traffic rules are concerned, this was about couple of years ago.

I don't know why the Local Government Traffic enforcers are not reprimanding or issuing traffic citations against this MORONS, madalas ako maka tyempo nyan sa corner ng P. Tamo and Buendia, Schmucks!

dati sa may motel row ng sta. mesa may isang kupal na armor vehicle na gusto singitan ang isang nissan sentra na nasa harap ko, pasok labas siya sa kanya lane di alam kung papasok siya sa lane ng sentra o sa lane niya. hindi pinadaan nung nakasentra, pagdating sa may town & country hinarang nung armored vehicle yung sentra at binabaan sabay sipa sa pinto. lumabas yung driver ng sentra at nagsagutan sila. nung sumakay na yung driver ng armor car i called the sentra driver to take down the plate number kung di niya susundan yung armor vehicle. pero when the armor truck left nakasunod siya di ko alam kung sumunod siya up to the destination.

ang yabang talaga ng mga yan. malakas rin loob ng driver kasi walang tint yung driver at kitang kita na magisa siya at mukhang mabait. the driver of the sentra looks like a jolly friendly person tapos medyo mataba so nagtrip yung security guard/driver.

ok ang mga inputs. sige organize tayo nang committee. maybe we could make this thread a sticky one. we can ask mr. fireblade for the intel. at the same time we could ask our tsikot lawyers. we have to stop these fools or else we could be easily the next victim.

I agree.
