I turn right on a an intersection while the traffic light is still red ?
--- i have already stopped ... and let the vehicles pass through the intersection since they have the green light.
--- there is no sign saying NO RIGHT TURN ON RED SIGNAL.

Jan din ako naguguluhan minsan kasi lalo na sa makati pag huminto ako at nag antay ng green binubusinahan ako ng nasa likod. Minsan naman may traffic enforcer na minamadali ako na lumiko na pag wala ng sasakyan kahit red.

Most of the time, if the intersection has no breakaway section for vehicles to turn right, it either means that corner doesn't allow a right turn or a signal is required before turning.

It's ambiguous, I guess it also depends on how large the street is, how the traffic flow is and other factors...

No. Inuutakan ka lang niyan.

You should be able to turn right anytime unless otherwise explicitly stated by road signs on the sidewalk. No right on red, or no right when children are present, etc...

Of course padaanin mo muna yung right of way (people perpendicular to you when their light turns green, those going the other direction but making a left, or those on the street you will turn into but making a U turn).

ask ko lang sa thread starter kung yung intersection ay may yellow box? kasi kahit di ka kumanan or matapakan mo lang yung yellow box na yun sa intersection e hinuhuli na nila. katwiran nila "keep the intersection open".

ask ko lang din sir kung nung mag-proceed ka e meron bang ibang motorista na na nagproceed before you? if so, e natsambahan ka lang nang pulis na yun.

it's actually more of a courtesy to others who are running on the green light when you make a stop and a careful right-turn on intersections.

Driving along EDSA ext from Taft Ave towards Roxas Blvd, I'm always on the left side kasi iwas sa mga jeep and bus na nagloload and unload.Pag dating sa mga U-TURN slots I swerve to the next lane as it narrows. Mga 3 to 4 slots siguro yung ganun. Pagdating sa me Roxas Blvd. pina flag down ako nung trffic enforcer. Pero hindi ko pinapansin.Twice na nangyari sa kin to. Me mali ba sa ginagawa ko? Kasi if I stay sa middle all thru out, kina cut cut ako ng mga PUB and PUJ. Hope you can enlighten me on this. Tnx.

Ganyan din nangyari sakin sa Buendia and hinuli ako swerving daw. Syempre kung PUJ yan e hindi nila huhulihin pero dahil private, source of funds hehe. Siguro to be on the safe side, stay ka na lang in the middle if not in the right portion of the road. Lalo na dyan sa section na yan malawak kalsada and obvious kung lumilipat ka ng lane from left to right. Anticipate na lang na malapit na yung U-turn slot.

To the threadstarter, may offense ka kung kumanan ka at hindi ka nagyield or pinagbigyan iyong mga kotse na naka green.

May mga ogag kasi na naka red sila at sige pa rin ang kanan maski alam nilang alanganin eh. Hindi naman sila iyong nasa right of way.

Anyway again, pwede ka kumanan basta ba malinis ang daan at pinagbibigyan mo iyong nasa right of way.

minsan meron din talagang nangongotong lang.... i have encountered some traffic enforcers dun sa may a. bonifacio after turning right from c3. pinapara ba naman ako! sa isip-isip ko lang eh di ko malaman kung ano violation ko since kakaliko ko lang and imposible na may makita sila na violation sa kin maliban na lang kung bawal mag right turn dun pero impossible na walang right turn dun dahil may breakaway lane so hindi ako huminto
