Sana, nandito ka sa may area ng DOST,- dahil talagang walang disiplina ang mga motor dito, at sila ang isang dahilan ng matinding traffic.

Aba e,- double counterflow na ang mga motor [meaning lagpas na sa linya nila] sa salubungang daan, tapos sasabayan pa ng mga motor na pilit mag-overtake sa iyo sa kanan at kaliwa,- wala kang magawa kung hindi umusad ng napakabagal o dili kaya ay huminto na lang... Iyan ang salot na ginagawa ng mga nagmo-motor dito sa lugar namin... Araw-araw iyan.

Kapag ako lang mag isa ang aalis hindi kotse ang dinadala ko kundi mutor dahil mas matipid at hindi umaakupa ng malaking space lalo mag isa lang ako. Kapag umuulan lang at madami kami na aalis dun ako gumagamit ng 4 wheel. Kung naiinis kayo sa mutor sana mabago ang pananaw ninyo dahil karamihan naman (hindi lahat) ay mag isa lang na sakay ng SUV/car na nag iisa lang. Alam naman natin na mas mas efficient ang 4 wheeler vehicle kung mas madaming sakay. Isan Car/SUV katumbas ng at least 4 motorcycle na kayang mag sakay ng 8 pasengers.

Sana gawin batas din na bawal driver lang ang sakay ng isang private 4 wheeler vehicle. Excepted dito ang mga truck, delivery van etc. na pwedeng driver lang talaga ang sakay.

I used to drive a motorcycle,- pero hindi katulad ng mga nagmo-motor ngayon ang diskarte namin na lusot sa kaliwa,- lusot sa kanan o automatic counterflow kaagad. At tsaka,- go with the traffic. And do not drive as if you own the road [may gusto nang lumusot sa iyo dahil mabagal ka na nga,- ayaw mo pang pagbigyan]. Share the road!

Magandang batas iyan.... Parang car pooling law sa ibang bansa na may exclusive lane....

The thread is about motorcyclists following basic traffic rules, not space saving. You want to save space? Maglakad ka. Magpapasalamat ako sayo. You fit the stereotype perfectly.

Yes, some believe that as riders, they're entitled to cut through traffic. But looking at the other side of the coin, very few drivers treat them with the same respect as other cars, so they don't act like cars.

Motorcycles splitting lanes is common because if you take a lane for yourself (like they do in other countries), some car will just bully you to the side anyway.

I hate swerving motorcycles that cut it too close just as much as the next guy, but pragmatically, it's beyond my circle of control or influence (no, running them over isn't a civilized option). So instead of channeling my energy towards pointless hate, I just keep myself puzzled by trying to figure out the reasons behind their actions.

The best way to understand them is to experience riding one. We don't understand why they swerve instead of brake the same way they don't understand why big trucks make wide turns.

For me how to drive your vehicle with another vehicle type is something that should be taught in driving school and tested when getting a driver's license.

As for bad driving, most drivers of any mode of transport are guilty. If only the government were more strict on driver education during license application and renewal and on catching each and every violation being done everyday we'd probably make good progress in no time.

the narrow space just beside the sidewalk curb is a favorite of motorcycles.
kadalasan nga, hindi ako maka-abante sa green light, dahil may motor sa kanan na baka ma-sagi.

To All Riders,

Please stop overtaking cars during turns, specially on right turns. Nakakagulat kayo lalo na sa mga naka malaking sasakyan. Ayaw namin maipit or sumabit kayo. You can overtake naman after the turn or sa bandang likod muna while lumiliko.

Not a single day goes by when I'm not almost hit by a motorcycle. They make driving hell for me.

Just the other day the TE asked us to stop at an intersection to let a truck pass. Some idiot motorcycle driver coming from the other side decided to go straight and almost hit my front fender, lipad siya kung di siya naka preno.

the Japanese designed their motorcycles so silent like a retreat house na nga eh pagtapos tatanggalin. nila. regulate this and hindi maging aggressive mga yan.

Tumpak ka dyan, bro! Some of these folks have no regard for their safety and the safety of others, and some don't even have the courtesy to follow simple traffic regulations like a traffic light.

yup. paulit-ulit na lang, everyday an encounter or two...yung pa-simpleng singit/ninja na alanganin tapos babagal-bagal, tapos pag nakalusot, sunod-sunod pa, mga kakaibang ilaw, led na nakatutok pataas, muffler na eskandoloso, etc.

last week i saw a rider hinarurot sa pedestrian lane, talsik yung tumatawid na ale pati pinamili! yung rider na sumemplang buti nga walang tumulong hehe.

Kanina lang, may motor na sumingit sa unahan ko, akala mo hulahoop yun motor. Magaling kumembot left and right para lumusot. Sayang di sya sumabit sa bumper. Semplang siguro yun.
