Ano bang hinahanap nila? Helmet? Registration? Lisensya? Lights and reflectors? O Pera?
a few days ago I was driving my car (siyempre tsikot eto, hehe) along Kalayaan Avenue sa Makati. I was approaching an area na may mga pulis who were catching lahat ng mga nakamotosiklo...
I noticed na ang dami nilang hinuhuli at chinechek yung registration, and license...
Kakainis. I think these motorized pedicabs should be registered! nasa highway na sila, ang lalaki, minsan nasa highway, walang lights, walang reflector, walang helmet. They just get away with it kasi they arent registered, and the law doesnt provide provisions for them. I think they should be classified as "motorcycle" already because they are "bicycles na motorized" kaya motorcycled din dapat sila!
Parang yung mga underage rapists, they just get away with it because of a legal loophole. kakainis!

The reason why the Police are hot on motorcycles is because they believe that motorcycle riders may be suspected of committing a crime like snatching, which is prevalent nowadays. IMO, parang discriminating yun pero, no offense to riders, tama din yun to discourage petty crimes like that. Madami nang nang biktima ng ganyan ang modus around our school and almost every week, there's an incident and Mayor Atienza NEVER did anything about it, NEVER.

ang sabi ng mga pulis, most of the holdups are done by people riding on motorcycles, kaya siguro chine-check nila.
pero, sa akin lang, maski i check mo yan tapos hahanapin lang ang registration and license ng driver, what can it do to avoid these hold-ups?

I think that's the ticket.
Basically, it's preventive, to dissuade holdappers from going through that area.

As to why they don't catch pedicabs... you ought to know by now. Enforcers are deaf, blind and dumb. If it's not in their "mission order", di nila huhulihin.
Otherwise, why would you have a dozen enforcers catching people at one point for color-coding or swerving, while just fifty meters away, PUVs are dropping people off in the middle and left lanes and people are jaywalking like crazy?
Lang'kwentang MO na yun... they should just give them a mission order: "Hulihin nyo lahat, no?" Oh, di ba? :griN;
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

At least once or twice a week meron akong nakikitang similar Police Operations sa ibabaw ng tulay sa Sta. Ana.
Dun lahat flagdown mga motorbikes, check lahat like helmet, registration at license. If nakitaan ng butas, yari sila.

Initially documents ng MC ang una hinahanap aside sa helmets ng sakay. then kung ako nag nasa check point, kasabay na nun ang observation sa sakay, kasi kung me “dala” yan –deadly weapons, illegal drugs, explosives etc - either tumakbo or malamang taranta yan. sa mga snatching ang modus, marami nang nabiktima ang mga yan mostly ended up in hospitals with bills rocketing to hundred thousand – kawawa naman sila…..nanakawan, naperwisyo at na-injured pa….
but yun nga…. nadadamay ang mga matitinong riders na umiiwas lang sa taas ng oil price at traffic as well.
