I was on paseo de roxas, approaching the corner of paseo and makati ave. and paseo de roxas, heading to ayala, passing the citibank building. time was 7.50 am

I saw a white range rover, a newer model, with sirens blaring, speed on the opposite lane heading toward ayala. the idiot didn't even bother to slow down, not to mention that he was counterflowing. He counterflowed just when the light turned green in that lane. There was a rush of cars heading down the street and he met them at full speed. the idiot could have caused and accident. He got passed the light and kept going like he had a license to break the law or kill someone without being liable for it.

His license plate was white and blue, number 1000.

I guess he does have a license to do as he pleases..

    plate 1000?

that's the car of the ambassador him/herself!

and yes, most likely the one behind the wheel is a pinoy driver - as I don't think that an ambassador would drive like that (but the staff might).

noong una, military truck driver, now, diplomat vehicle driver. and maybe many other previous related threads.

saan kaya ang problema. kapag nandito lang naman. kapag nangibang bansa naman, mga behave naman sila. dahil kaya alam nila na di naman sila mahuhuli? and if mahuli, pwede naman maglagay? or kung di pwede maglagay, mababa lang ang penalty?

    OT!

Just to clarify, under our laws, the staff of a diplomat is likewise covered by diplomatic immunity --- kahit pinoy pa siya. I think the rule holds true for other countries who are members of the UN.

Diplomatic immunity notwithstanding, that does not give them the right to violate our laws with reckless abandon.

Pinoy driver or not, that guy should've been at least reprimanded. wala yata magawa mga yellow boys ni Binay pag blue plates na katapat.
