Apparently, the reason why these people were pissed off with the police is that there were policemen present DURING the incident and they did nothing. Armed security guards of Ayala just stood by as the gunman fired at random people, and nobody gave chase as the guy sped away. Story was, the cops were reluctant to fire at the guy for fear than he might be the scion of some politician. Of the 7 people who were hit by gunfire, none were involved in the reported quarrel between two groups that triggered the assault.
