coming from edsa, on macapagal ave, at the mcdo intersection.. anybody notice that left turn is allowed, but at the same time, there is a no U-turn sign?? from a defensive driving seminar i attended, the instructor said U-turns are always allowed when left turns are allowed. the reason being that the opposite traffick has already stopped for the left-turners, so U-turners can also make the turn without causing additional delays.

from that seminar, i always go ahead and make u-turns at that intersection to go back to edsa. whats your opinion on this?

How about the rule of following traffic signs? No mention?

My take... that intersection is busy. I wouldn't want to watch out for U - turners there when it's green and I'm on macapagal going in the opposite direction. Left turn, ok kasi stop sigurado ako kasi signal light controlled yung left turn na yan. (in some instances in the US, signal light controlled din ang U turn nila or specific lane ang u turn , kasabay ng left signal light...)
