MANILA – Five people were injured after a sport utility vehicle (SUV) slammed into an area for arriving passengers and well-wishers at the Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Tuesday night.

The victims were identified as arriving foreign passengers Ahmad Heba and Scott Massey, who also lost his cellphone during the commotion, Filipino passenger Edwin Rubei, well-wishers Greggy Cunayan and Troi Troani.

They were rushed to the Philippine General Hospital for treatment.

The Ford Ranger with license plate AOL 999 was driven by a certain Dr. Agnes Barbosa.

Barbosa was reportedly waiting for a relative when she accidentally stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake.

This caused the vehicle to move forward, hitting the victims.

Responding airport police Jerome Adanza immediately arrested Barbosa and charges of reckless imprudence resulting to damage to properties and injuries are being prepared by airport authorities against her.

It is a good thing that it is not a MS,- else, another deluge of SUA claim....

Hoping that those who were involved were not seriously injured....

It's Christmas and they should be enjoying the holidays with their loved ones....

well, i would like to hear her side of the story.
for all we know, she had just arrived at the scene (and had not been waiting there for some time, as what the report gives the reader the impression of), and stepped on the gas instead of the brakes because of....

at least, may umamin na nagkamali siya. kung hindi inamin, ay may another SUA in the tally sheets.

with social media and philippine television influence/style, let us not be too quick to judge. we all mistakes. you will not be here today unless you learned your lessons. to give her the benefit beyond reasonable doubt, weigh in the facts and evidence. it is filipino nature to immediately have and excuse (kamot ulo) or immediately to blame. this probably lead to trial by social media publicity.

Ahhhhhh bro,- I don't get it....

Bottomline, she's the person behind the wheel, right?

Are you implying it is somebody else's fault?

Or, did we miss this by a mile?

the moment you sit on the driver's seat and turn that ignition on YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE. ikaw ang driver. not the one beside you. not the one behind you. not the one outside. IKAW. NOBODY ELSE. gets?
