Corruption and abuse of power here in our country will never ever be cured. Once you got a taste of it, bibitaw ka paba? Isa nalang solution ko dito, and that is to migrate

I love the Philippines, but not the filipinos. (Sorry to say this :D) Come 2016, I'll be ready.

The guards volunteered to go with the police.
    The video bears this out.
This was also clarified by both the owner of the security agency mr. ram antonio and the makati police chief of police in their interviews but PDI opted to bury their statements.
According to Col. Lukban, the guards left the the police precinct after about an hour, not four hours as claimed by PDI's source. again, this was left out in the PDI report.
Nowhere in the 20-minute video did you see the convoy forcing its way through the gate.
In fact, the convoy waited for the police to arrive.

The mayor never uttered the words, "kilala mo ba ako" as claimed by PDI's unnamed source.
This is false and downright malicious.
On the contrary, the mayor went down his vehicle and said, "Si Mayor Binay ako. Baka pwedeng makiraan lang."
He said this after the guard refused to believe a staff who said the mayor was inside the vehicle.
The PDI could have easily verified this with Mr. Antonio and the guard.

It was the mayor who called the police to diffuse tension.
Armed security guards were already surrounding the convoy.

    We consider the matter closed.
Mr. Antonio has apologized for lapses in providing security assistance to the mayor, a courtest extended to all visiting VIPs."

Bobong masa lang naniniwala sa palusot ni Binay. Siya ang boss ng bodyguards niya. Isang utos nya lang balik na sa kotse mga iyon, no need to call the police to diffuse the imaginary tension.

Kung di kaya ni Binay pasunurin bodyguards niya may mas malaki siyang problema, ibig sabihin hindi ginagalang ng tao niya ang utos niya. He then should replace all of his bodyguards.

Mayor, mas malaki pa ang ulo mo kay sa buong Makati City. Kung VP pa lang ang tatay mo ganyan ka na. Paano na kung maging presidente yan?

Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Ganoon nga sa Makati. Masyado na kayong matagal sa pwesto. 27 years na kayo nakaluklok sa Makati City Hall. Akala niyo diyos na kayo diyan.

A convoy of SUVs show up at the entrance where nobody is supposed to enter, at a posh Makati village at that, filled with armed bodyguards. That's your tension right there. If the guards really called for backup and "surrounded" the convoy, it's just SOP. Kung hindi lagot sila sa homeowner's village for lapse in security.

There's also one thing he could've done to "diffuse tension": it's called respecting the village's traffic regulations and passing through the proper route.

Why did he have to go down and speak to the guards, as they claim? Bawal dumaan dun, plain and simple, all that was needed was to follow the rules.

saw a report on TV Patrol last night about overspeeding cars in Commonwealth.

A car with government plates was pulled over for speeding. The plate was traced to...the Office of the Vice President.

The issue has already been good-naturedly (is this even a proper word?) settled ... ... ... in the police precinct where the guards "volunteered" to go.

All's well that ends well ... ... ... for people in power like us.

Instead of apologizing for the incident, people corrupted by power tend to justify their arrogant behavior.
