Good point. Although most responsible gun owners I know would never have allowed themselves to be put in that situation. Their dictum is to de-escalate the situation first. Pag nagkakainitan na, they would think, "Pabayaan ko na nga ito, mamaya magdilim pa ang paningin ko at mabaril ko pa to." and back down.

In fact, there's a thread in one of the PROGun sites I visit where there's talk of some members becoming calmer and some are even claiming mas duwag silang makipag-away pag may dala sila.

I guess it's in the level of maturity and responsibility of the gun owner?

Parang yung kinatok din na kotse sa isang thread, the driver knew na pag pinatulan nya yun, lalaki lalo so he chose not to mind the other irate car driver. Ganun din ang mature, peaceful, and responsible gun owner (parang slogan ng PROGun, he he he...) umiiwas sa gulo. We only think of using them in the most dire circumstances.

Obviously, the other restaurant owner is not one of those gun owners we're talking of. Bumunot kaagad sya dahil napahiya sya. He's one of those "mayayabang" types described by the other posters.

Wala naman kasing rule na dapat nakasakay ka sa kotse pag maghahanap ka ng parking space. Wala yang pinagkaiba dun sa grocery na pumipila na kaagad yung anak niya, habang yung nanay eh malayo pa yung pushcart. Wala namang sinabi na bawal pumila pag wala kang pushcart.

Most gun owners here in our subdivision are responsible. Yung kapitbahay ko nga di ko alam na meron until someone tried to rob them.

Yes, I commend legitimate gun owners like these who go low profile in their gun ownership, and by doing so, probably had the right reasons in owning a gun. Unlike some gun owners who really just get guns for bragging, intimidation, etc. I question those who plaster gun related stickers all over their vehicles, almost screaming to everyone around them "hey, I own a gun!". :praning:

After all, you'd loose one important element if everyone in your place knew you had a gun; they'd be well-prepared if they decide to do harm to you or your loved ones.

Come to think of it, according to the report, the first victim, Cabral, already had his gun with him when he was shot. Probably knowing Cabral owns and carries a gun, it seems Credito "prepared" himself by getting his gun as well, and upon his return, went ahead and just fired the first shot against Cabral.

A few years ago punuan parking sa Megamall, and I had a chance to park in an available slot since I was the only car it that lane. Kaso me nakatayo na binata. Pinababa sya ng tatay niya & tumayo dun sa parking slot at hinarang ako. Sa kanila daw yung parking kasi sila daw una nakakita. Pero ang tatay niya with the car, nasa kabilang lane pa.
Tama ba yun?
Para walang away, umatras ako, minura ko na lang & tinanong ko kung kotse siya, kasi siya ang nakaparada sa slot.

Salamat po, sir. Madalas pang nangyayari yung naikuwento ko na kasama ko pa panganay kong anak na lalaki. 10y/o. Yung anak ko pa ang nagagalit, sabihin nya ang sama daw ng ugali nugn driver. As in naiinis sya. Sinasabihan ko anak ko na, parking lang yan, anak. Ang importante mas pogi tayo sa kanya. Tapos tatawa na lang anak ko...hehehe!

Yung naikuwento mo na may nakatayong tao sa parking to reserver the slot. Meron din nun sa lugar namin. To be honest wala akong nakikitang mali dun, pero nabababawan ako sa ganung paraan. Though ginawa ko yun once by sendign my wife dun sa slot pero pinilit pa din pumasok nung sasakayan. Dun ko narealize na hindi pala maganda yung ganung paraan. Kasi pwedeng madisgrasya yung tao dun pag hindi napansin na may nakatayo pala. Ang ending sisihan na lang.
