just like to know your opinions, ano po ba para sa inyo ang sapat at tama lang na displacement ng sasakayan. sapat na power(for overtaking instances, etc.) yet fuel efficient (around 6-9km/l i guess...?) and why? thanks.

for me i guess its 1.6 which is the usual displacement of a sedan.

I think 1.6 would be sufficient. Pero depende nman sa lugar..like here in the states, so far 1.8 plng ang nakikita kong pinakamaliit, 1.6 would labor in freeways. Pero jan sa pinas sapat na ang 1.6.

For freeway/highway long distance cruising, 3.0L or greater V6 will do on a family sedan.

For smaller cars like sports coupes, 4-cyl turbos are fine.

    2.0

nakakabitin in my opinion ang 1.6 while overtaking, something i've never felt while driving 2-liter cars

when i drove in the philippines i got the impression that 2.0 was plenty of power on the roads there for a passenger car. a little bit bigger for the heavier SUV's.

here in the US where merging speeds and average highway speeds are much higher, you can get by with a 1.6, but if you get used to a 3.0 you'll never go back

What size is the sedan? A 300C is a sedan but a 1.6 really woudn't work on it. For a Corolla size car then a 1.8-2.0L would be fine anything beyond 2.0 for a 4 cylinder engine IMO just gets too rough on high revs.

I totally agree with this. MT on the left side and AT/CVT/SportShift on the right. Enough power for overtaking and maintaining a cool AC while maxing on fuel economy.

7-speed tiptronic mated to a CRDi 2.0L with VGT. hehehe

you'll be overtaking others at 220kmh like they're standing still. hehe

For some car brands/models, 1.6li oks na, kahit na matic. Some other brands/models though, frustrating pa rin ang acceleration ng 1.6li matic.

Again for some brands/models, kapag manual naman, surprisingly oks na oks na yung 1.3li!

For mostly metro manila driving, 1.6L is adequate. But if you tend to drive out of town or on the expressways more often, an engine displacement of 1.8L to 2.0L would be prefered.

for you what is the most adequate displacement for a sedan?
