Yes that is what I am saying, a car enthusiast will drop in a new engine, so they can build their project car either for racing, restoration, etc.

Old cars still have brand new parts available. Depends on what kind of car we are restoring. If you have the source and the money you can import it here. That's why restored cars are a gem to collectors. Yun ang sinasabing kahit may pera ka wala ka naman mabibiling katulad nang kotse ko.

Around 2005 nung nasira yung engine ng first car ng dad ko.. Midyo matanda na kasi yung car ng dad ko 90s model pa.. E sabi ko palitan na lang ng bagong engine.. as in brand new. para wala ng sakit ng ulo.. Nag try ako mag search sa internet e wala talaga akong makitang nag bibinta ng brand new engine kaya napilitan na lang lagyan ng 2nd hand engine..

late 90's model of hilux. We already ask some toyota dealer. They can provide a spare parts but not the whole engine.. So our option is to replace by 2nd hand engine or replace the whole parts inside the engine..

They can put new type of engine. Yes. But the same model of engine. No.
