February 14th, 2007 06:19 PM #1Need your advice guys
We're thinking of selling our e36 (1995) 316i. So far, the only replacement I could think of is an e46 316i - great handling and not so much of a gas guzzler.
A friend told me to get a used A4 instead, he said something about it being a more refined ride.
Any other alternatives/ suggestions?

February 14th, 2007 06:28 PM #2go for the 318i na para atleast 143hp because u might find it slower compared to your e36 because of the added weight coupled to the 1.6L engine. meron atang M/T ng 1999 na e46 non facelifted sa car and finder ads dto. i think its a better buy than an A4 because of the overall package and the resell prices.

E46 318i with the 2.0 4 banger should do fine... you can get '02 to '03 models for around 1M more or less AFAIK.
If you're into aftermarket tuning then thats where the A4 comes in. ;) The Volvo S40 T5 is also a affordable Euro sleeper.

My vote goes to a 1.8T Quattro, plus chip upgrade or reprogramming. Para maiba naman.

February 15th, 2007 03:15 PM #10Thanks, I'll keep those things in mind.
I don't mind the 1.6L engine since it's only just for city driving.
So far, the only one I saw in the ads is a 2001 316i for P760,000 (negotiable). I'm not sure whether it's the facelifted one though.
that may be, but we all got plastic, young and old. we asked the lto guy, "papel ba po, o...
