available kasi ang V6 2.7-liter 170 hp DOHC variant with the follwing standard features sa europe and usa:
    Leather Seating Surfaces
Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel & Shift Knob
    6-Speed Manual Transmission Available
    H280/Infinity 7-speaker stereo system
    Bodycolor Spoiler
    Sport-tuned Suspension
    Specific GT V6 Badging
    17" Pilot Summer tires

yung locally sold variant 2.0 136hp DOHC 16V inline-4 kaya mas maganda siguro ang review.

Korean cars are still in the acceptance stage.

Ganyan din tingin ng mga old timers sa Japanese cars dati. Sabi nila, hindi raw matibay and cheap.

But look at us now, lapping up every new design they punch out.

As far as the TiburonII is concerned, well, lets just say i have better ways to spend a million bucks.

The old Hyundai's really had a bad reputation about their reliabilities. But I think their engineering is getting better. I have to say, bihira sa mga Pilipino ang bibili ng Hyundai sa US dahil sa stature. Filipinos [not all] eh kung baga sa damit, mahilig sa name brand. For me, I will definitely consider a Hyundai, basta lang way lower ang price kaysa sa Toyota/Honda.

    OT.
Pero hindi ko talaga maintindihan eh, when I bought a Nokia cell phone sa Pilipinas noon bakit mas mahal ang made in Finland kaysa sa made in China. Parehong Nokia naman?

Sure... Hyundai's engineering is getting better.
Dont you think it's about time that they step up to their competitors???
I am a Filipino too, living in the US, but I am not buying a Hyundai just because of "stature" - I'm buying a car because I need a reliable transportation and I want my moneys worth !!!

and as for your OT question,
the last time I check (when I was still living in the Phils)
its all about "Stature"... I agree, its the same - its Nokia! but just because its made in China its automatically considered fake and the other one is "original" - making it better and more expensive. and therefore making the person who bought it look rich!

    p.s.
dont think I'm picking on your post, just keeping it real here...

Don't you think that they haven't stepped up yet to their competitors. You can not just knock out Toyotas and Hondas from the top. They've earned that. I'm sure Hyundai has done its job in making better cars. Why do you think they'd give 100k miles and ten years warranty on their cars. If all those cars will break down within the [limited] warranty, the company will go bankrupt. I'm sure they stand by their products to give out such bold warranties.
Mostly tanungin mo sa mga Filipino, mahihiya bumili ng Hyundai just because cheap daw. I know dahil some of my relatives do.
I'm not saying na lahat ng Filipinos ay ganoon. I myself only considers Toyotas and Hondas, dahil experienced na ako sa mga ito. But I will surely consider other cars lalo na kung maganda offers.

PS. Don't worry about picking on somebody's post. We all have our own opinions and will be respected...
