Skoda UK is interested in putting up a dealership here in the Philippines. I dunno if all of you are familiar with the brand, but search it sa net and you'll know ok sila. I think they are approaching the existing dealers here (like honda, mitsubishi, etc.) to carry Skoda but wala pa yatang open communication lines between them. If any of you are interested, please reply to this thread. I might be able to get you into a sit-down with their representative here in the philippines. syempre it depends on your background din, knowledge and experience are paramount. Try nyo rin pala reyes bbq along meralco ave cor julia vargas, may chance sila for 50% off on your bill pag mondays, toss coin yata! sarap din ng bagong bar food nila like the mushrooms and crispy pata!!

    Welcome to Tsikot!

This is certainly great news for the local market. I hope that they bring in the Fabia (compact car) which can certainly compete directly with the Swift and Yaris. Their top end sedan, the Superb, is also a headturner.

I'm just wondering why they have to tie-up with the local japanese brands when they are actually a very good company in Europe which is also very active in the rally scene.

Skoda is an affiliate of Volkswagen, am I right? When I went to europe 3 years ago, I saw a lot of Skodas out there, very popular.

Good point. I think they feel that tapping the Philippine dealers would accelerate their growth in the local market, considering the said dealers' experience and knowledge. For example, I think mitsubishi just got dealerships for ssangyong, hyundai and suzuki. In the same way, I think skoda wants to take advantage of the existing machineries in local dealerships. But this is indeed good news. We're currently flooded with korean brands, not to say that they aren't any good, but european brands would do us good too, if they can make it affordable here.

It would be better dun nalang sa Autohub Group mapasa ang pagiging local distributor nito kasi mas marami silang dealership network kaya bagay sa kanila ang Skoda(hindi papayag malamang ang PGA dahil gusto nilang direct control),malamang nasa 700-850K ang isang Fabia rito...
