I'm so glad I drive an uncommon car... haven't lost a mirror yet!

Oh, but our Crosswind? Mirrors and cornerlights...

I have seen some cars have installed a "frame" to make the gap between the mirror and sidemirror body overlap. This makes removal of the mirror impossible without first removing the "frame". I have seen two kinds, one made from stainless steel and another colored black, no sure if plastic or metal.

Downside of using this is it makes the viewable area slightly smaller.

That's also what I though before, until one stormy night three years when some **%$#!*&! stole the side mirrors of both my Sedona and my sister's Vitara. Pinasemento kasi yung garahe namin nung araw na yon kaya sa labas kami nakaparada nung gabi. Paggising namin, bye-bye side mirrors. Also, because the Sedona was relatively rare in 2003, I wasn't able to find a replacement lens in Banawe, so I ended up claiming the whole assembly from my insurance company.

So bili ako nung replacement made in taiwan daw, problema ko iba ang reflection.

cool. mukhang majority ng suggestions a pa etch plate# and yung plastic side mirror protector (ano itsura nun). Ngayon ko pa lang narinig yung clips eh, hindi kaya mas madali naman nakawin yun kung sa daan ka tirahin at clips lang? although that was my original thought on what to do. Naisip ko eh lagyan ng spot light and motion sensor sa labas ng bahay e, but that would only fool yung mga magnanakaw for a while.

Yung frame is plastic, and they use epoxy to attach it. Medyo liliit yung viewing area nung side mirror, and hindi body color unless itim yung auto mo. Of course you can have it painted din pero additional gastos na naman yun.

Mahirap talaga yang sidemirror. Yung lancer singkit ko before I sold it, was on it's 7th set of side mirrors na.

Anyway, best bet talaga is pa-etch yung plate number.
