March of last year nagpa-change oil ako dito sa Motech Marikina. Di kasi ako makasingit dun sa mekaniko ko eh need ko na oil change.
Pagtanggal pa lang ng oil canister eh turn off na. Wala silang oil filter wrench na sakto sa oil filter ko.
Either old belt or chain yata yung ginamit nila kaya naman hirap na hirap tanggalin at dumudulas.
Hindi naman Mercedes Benz or BMW ang kotse ko kundi pangkaraniwang Toyota para di sila mag-invest sa right tools for the job.
And then ang mahal pa ng labor sa kanila. Php650 for the oil change which is Php350 lang doon sa mekaniko ng gas station.
Inisip ko na lang once a year lang naman oil change ko so ma-disperse din sa 12 mos. yung labor cost.

i have my oil change done at the friendly hecho-derecho gas station.
cheap and if timed right, no waiting.
there's no secret to oil change, naman.
just drain the oil and replace the oil filter.

Don't know if Petron has updated their facilities but the service (change oil) was okay, they didn't have a proper waiting area. Treats store had A/C off and usually wasn't properly stocked. Never was able to try their Car Care Center (separate from the gas station itself) though. They have one in D Tuazon I believe.

Unioil was generally a step up because the convenience store was a 7-11 in West Avenue so always properly stocked and AC was never turned off. During pandemic, they had seating outside so was able to minimize exposure during this time. Here they do throttle body cleaning which Shell or Petron didn't have the proper cleaning chemical for and they could do it, but i'd have to buy the chemical elsewhere. SnR discount for oils here. Visa and Mastercard only. No amex. If active promos or discounts for gas station transactions, they will apply.

Now, have moved to Shell Q Avenue. They have a proper waiting area with AC and TV, also a proper Select with AC if you are so inclined with seating area outside as well. If you have service done here, you get a 40php max value credit to use in Select but I only usually just get a cup of coffee. Have had 3 vehicles done here recently for change oil for the family. They seemingly updated their system and now have a proper diagnostic printout of the mechanics findings of whether brakes are good etc etc. So this is a stepup from all the 3 gas station services I've tried. Plus with Shell App membership, 10% off on oils. Will accept Visa, Mastercard and Amex so if you have any other CCard promos active at the time of service, additional rebate/discount can apply. Fuel here though is more expensive per liter than Unioil West Avenue, even without applying the SnR Discount Yet but applying the Shell App discount already. So I don't gas up here. Just change oil.

For now sticking to shell for outside dealer/casa change oil service. But specifically the one with proper waiting area. The other Shell Stations in the vicinity doesn't seem to have a proper waiting area, but they were constructed way earlier. Not sure if they'd ever be update to have one though.
