"seminar" totoo ba?

i think everyone here will agree na SOP kapag hinuli ka for traffic violations, one of the first things na sasabihin sayo ng officer ay "may seminar pa yan," so as to convince you to just bribe him and save yourself the hassle. however, i've yet to hear of anyone who has had to go to these "seminars". so my question is, may seminar nga ba talaga for traffic violations? if so, where are they held and what exactly happens at these seminars?

Kung may seminar nga, pag dating sa office ng LTO/MMDA, sasabihin sa 'yo magbayad ka na lang para di ka na umattend ng seminar, there goes another "special offer".

I don't know. I was apprehended for swerving(kuno), entering a one way street and for driving with an expired license. and always wala seminar. I just pay the fine for the said violation at yun lang. tapos.

*mikmik316: what violation were you sent to that seminar for? because my dad has been caught once for swerving and another time for beating the red light (actually lampas lang ng konti yung harap ng kotse sa intersection, nabitin kasi dahil sa kasunod na kotse) pero both times he wasnt required to attend any seminars. baka for specific violations lang?

Seminar, yes... kung papayag kang kunin nila license mo.
Yung friend ko kasi, choose niya yung seminar.. nagtaka lang ako, sa manila siya nahuli pero pinagseminar siya sa makati?! pressure nila, kung may time ka seminar pero kung wala bayad na lang po. toink!

Baka tama nga yung generalization... pag MMDA tubos lang... pero pag police, TMG, LTO... seminar....

Ako kasi reckless (daw)... yung nasa kanan ko sa seminar nag u-turn sa no u-turn at nakita ko not following traffic signs ang nakasulat sa "resolution"... yung nasa kanan ko... overtaking... violation parang "overtaking in places not allowed to overtake"... Range of offense is 150-500 petot pero seminar kami lahat...

correct me if i'm wrong...

kapag MMDA or City/Municipal Traffic Enforcer walang seminar, tubos lang ng license...

iyun LTO/Flying Squad ang nag huli, mayroon seminar at multa...

don't know kapag TMG ang nanghuli...

tanong bakit hilig nila mag lagay na violation na recless driving? ano nga ba ang criteria nun...

kakaloko kasi kahit mabagal na at maingat na sa pagmamaneho tapos nahulihan ka bigla reckless na daw...

basta ako bago ibigay license ko alamin ko muna violation ko, pag sinabi nila reckless naku manigas na sila...

seminar... most probably yes... attended one... ke reckless or overtaking or not following traffic signs... may seminar... sa East Ave. free parking naman sa loob so walang hassle..

madali lang yung test pagkatapos ng seminar... got a 54 out of 60...

Yun nga lang ubos oras mo... buong araw ka sa LTO..
